NEW! THE ORIGINAL START/SIT CHARTS AND ODDSMAKER “IN TANDEM TUTORIAL” ARTICLE
Fantasy Football WK7 IDP
The NFC Interior Defensive Lineman Start/Sit Cheat Sheet Charts contain all the interior defensive lineman in both NFL defensive schemes.
If you are looking for names like Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, or Danielle Hunter…
Those are defensive ends in the NFL’s 4-3 defensive scheme and are now located with the 3-4 schemed Outside Linebackers in the new Edge Rusher charts. So if you do not see your player’s name, and unsure as to why. They likely can be found there, where we apply an even deeper formula to get these weekly start/sits right for IDP sack-heavy formats.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As normal, Hicks is our only real target, and we have a middle of the pack on-paper matchup versus the Rams. And after it took a forced fumble in week 6 versus the Panthers to hit his mark, we’re looking at his upside, but not adding it into the final results.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Well, after last week’s results and how they played Williams, Hand, and Shelton in the rotation, we aren’t even close to suggesting anyone go here in week 7. Versus the Falcons might sound good, but on paper, it’s actually one of the worse matchups for any IDL squads.
Packers Interior D-Lineman
Kenny Clark
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Kingsly Keke
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Dean Lowry
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Tyler Lancaster
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Clark returned in week 6 and indeed looked back up to par. he played 63% of the snaps available and technically produced well considering the matchup versus the Buccaneers on paper. And 63% is a bit shy of his 2019 80% average, so now that he has his feet wet again we should start seeing that number rise some. Which in his case is good. He is a beast of a player and the more opportunities the better.
And as we mentioned last week, we kept an eye on Keke. And as long as he doesn’t fall in snaps this week because Clark’s snaps went up, we indeed have another IDL target on our hands in Green Bay. That would be a first in a very long time we would perhaps have more than one option. Not only did Keke keep a nice portion of the snaps with Clark back, but he also managed to make a dent in a barely solid matchup versus the Bucs.
So, depending on how things go this week versus the Texans, middle of the pack matchup, keep Keke on speed dial for week 8. Because they take on the Vikings, who gift production to the IDLs, and Keke will be a great option according to his ownership percentage for a waiver wire pick. And if all options are off the board for you this week, you sure could do worse than picking him up and play him this week.

☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: For two weeks in a row teams seem to have keyed on Jarrett. And in week 6 he shot up to a 93% snap count which is HUGE in terms of IDLs playing time. And that’s not a good HUGE either. Don’t get us wrong, Jarrett is a stud, but the ideal average rotation we like to see for an IDL would be in the range of 75%. And although Jarrett does well at a solid 80%, that 93% would wear down even the best of any player at any position on a defensive squad.
With that said, we are going to pump the breaks a little this week in a barely solid matchup for most IDLs versus the Lions. We are still adding a touch of upside because he is a beast, but no so much considering we want to see those snaps drop again this time around. We never suggest sitting a stud, but if owners have another, “firmer solid” play, with another good and consistent IDL, they have to be considered this week over Jarrett.
Panthers Interior D-Lineman

Zach Kerr
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Bravvion Roy
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Our cautious approach last week paid off with this squad. And yes, Brown did well versus the Bears. But if you remember what we said it was actually a really strong (top 10)matchup on paper. And considering we went with a 2.5 star “just” solid, in our opinion that is what he got. Pretty well securing the idea that he’ll only get what’s on-paper after seeing 6 contests with various degrees of matchup strength.
Don’t get us wrong, this rookie will likely be fine in dynasty leagues. But for this year he doesn’t have enough talent around him to help him play better and as we said, he is a rookie playing with the big men up front. And this week versus the Saints, we don’t suggest testing this theory. Because the last time he saw this tough of a contest this year he got just two combined tackles and luckily for whoever played him, one was for a loss. But we can’t count on that this week.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Sure, one of these main three will likely produce something. And maybe all three of them all get a couple of tackles apiece. But when we see that all three average about 50% of the snaps apiece, give or take for each one each contest. And then look at the on-paper matchup strength versus the Panthers, it’s all barely there and would be like throwing a dart to hit on who may be worth starting.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: If you own one of the main two guys, you got to have them in versus the Raiders. It’s simply a top-three matchup strength contest and looks like their best one yet.
It’s so strong that we had Gholston (owned in less than 1% of Tipster leagues) in our waiver wire bye week pickup article this week.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Well looky here, this matchup versus Washington is so strong we actually marked Poe “barely” solid. he is the only IDL that’s received an average of over 50% of the snaps on the season. but don’t get too excited, that percentage is 54% and slowly declined over the last couple of contests. Just poking fun here folks, don’t go here, no matter how strong it is on paper. There’s nothing to trust and any production would almost be an accident.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: This is a top-five matchup in terms of matchup strength on paper versus the Cowboys. And why this past Monday we had Payne as a waiver-wire bye week play in our weekly article. We’re going to note, at the time he had around a 5% ownership in Tipster leagues. And as we look at it now (Sunday morning), it’s about doubled.

Cardinals Interior D-Lineman

☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Corey Peters
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Zach Allen
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Angelo Blackson
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Last week these main two guys got it done versus the Cowboys in what was an actual strong matchup on-paper. But we had marked them “just” solid siding on caution considering their overall body of work to that point. And for Phillips, he barely got it done in terms of base tackles (2), and if not for a forced fumble that he also recovered he wouldn’t have hit that mark at “just” solid. Peters also only recorded two tackles, and it was a tackle for loss and pass defended that might have saved his day pending owners league formats.
With all that laid out, this week it is a really strong matchup versus the Seahawks on paper, not strong. And the best we can mark them is the same as last week and wish anyone going here good luck. There are actually, maybe all of them, better suggest waiver wire players at the IDL we would rather play than to risk this in our pickup article this week.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: For Donald as an IDL (DT), which we have him in our edge rusher charts too, this is a top 10 matchup on paper. And because it is, Brockers was also mentioned as a waiver wire play this week.

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As we warned last week, this group lost all momentum in becoming a match up proof squad. And after last week, they also proved less than par at getting what’s there. So of course we are sitting here this week looking at a pretty strong matchup on paper versus the Patriots. So as we do here and there, we’ll apply caution to the on-paper results and add a “good luck”.

Anthoney Rush
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Even coming off a bye-week, we can’t suggest going here when they face the Cardinals this week. Arizona sits in the bottom five in allowing anything to the IDLs, and no one here has impressed this year when the odds are stacked against them.
