Welcome to the WK15 Fantasy Football Ranking NFC Edge Rusher IDP Start/Sit Chart cheat sheets presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.
WK15 Fantasy Football Ranking NFC Edge Rusher
Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!
* The Fantasy Football Edge Rusher Chart would traditionally contain just the 3-4 outside linebackers and 4-3 defensive ends from the NFL’s two-base defensive schemes. But at times, for whatever reason, some of the main sites list some 3-4 defensive end. Not to mention some strongside linebackers from the 4-3 scheme. And one of those main sites that have been engaging IDP owners for quite a few years with the designated Edge Rusher position as an option is ESPN.COM.
So although this author doesn’t personally consider those 3-4 defensive ends a part of the true Edge Rushers, we will set these charts by whom they list as such. Because even if the position has been around for some time, on a few sites. It’s still in the process of gaining traction by IDP owners. And there still needs to be a baseline set somehow. So what better way to do it than with the old school, and one of the originals, but ESPN.
Note, this listing of ESPN Edge Rushers may not reflect this author’s Edge Rushers rankings or the Gridiron Rating player ratings. But until it is a full-fledge position used across the board and a player standard is set. We can’t ignore what the users of the charts and IDP owners may have access too. We’ll also mention that the Edge Rusher formula for these charts adds at least one additional step over the traditional five.

Attention Please!
It’s week 15 or 16 and we aren’t messing around with a bunch of huge details. The playoffs are here and we are getting right to the point with the marks. We’ll refect any concerns or anything else via the marks too. The five-step formula has got us here, so short and sweet, trust the charts while we ignore the drama.
If you have a serious question about splitting the hairs between a couple of players or need future assistance, please contact me via Twitter HERE. Or hit our site chat and whoever answers directly the question to me and they will find me via text to help you. Thank you again for joining us this year and we look forward to assisting you again in 2021.
Reminder, there will not be any week 17 charts as 99% of leagues have their championships in week 16. And week 17 means half the teams will sit the starters or they’ll see limited action unless they are the small number of teams needing to win out. Again, if you need direct assistance for week 17, please contact me as I mentioned above.

Barkevious Mingo
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Robert Quinn
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
James Vaughters
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Vikings. And we know we have not added Mario Edwards Jr. to the list. It’s because he is averaging just 30% of the snaps over the last two weeks. So, he isn’t an option to even think about at this point of our playoffs.
Don’t chase points, 9 times out of 10 it doesn’t end well.
Lions Edge Rushers
Romeo Okwara
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Austin Bryant
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Everson Griffen (?/C)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Julian Okwara (IR)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Trey Flowers (IR)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Titans. And at this point, Bryant is in play if Griffen (COVID list) is out again. And to be honest, if Griffen is a go, we suggest avoiding both him and Bryant, just in case it’s a timeshare. At this point, Okwara is really the only one to trust if ending to go here. And after being completely shut down last contest with just a slightly better mark this week, we’re questioning the word “trust”.
Packers Edge Rushers
Za’Darius Smith (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Preston Smith
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Rashan Gary (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Jonathan Garvin
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Panthers. And we sure would have liked to have seen a better matchup on paper for a bounce-back this week for the Smiths. They were shut down versus the Lions last week, and on paper, they should have been solid enough. These two were getting it done prior to that divisional matchup with the Lions. We aren’t holding anything against them this week and including the upside, they had been carrying.
Vikings Edge Rushers

D.J. Wonnum
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Danielle Hunter (IR)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked on paper versus the Bears and adding it’s “barely” there. The Bears allow a lot on the interior, but on average, very little off the edge. So we had to look and suggest if you are taking the risk, make sure you look at what this group did just a few weeks ago versus the Bears the first time.

Falcons Edge Rushers
Steven Means

Jacob Tuioti- Mariner
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Dante Fowler Jr.
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
John Cominsky
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Buccaneers. And ‘barely” there, as the Bucs do protect the edge fairly well and the way that this group flopped in a very solid to strong contest last week. They’ve lost all upside at the wrong time. And likely cost many IDP owners last week to miss or lose in the playoffs. It’s simple, we are back to avoid them as we had at the beginning of the season this week. Our trust should be in question across the board.
Panthers Edge Rushers
Brian Burns
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Yetur Gross-Matos
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Marquis Haynes
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Efe Obada
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Packers. Simple, the Packers are dead last in allowing anything off the edge. And burns might be pretty good in his second season, but he has barely ever overachieved in any contest this year. And normally just hits par and this week that is a “0” on paper.
Saints Edge Rushers
Trey Hendrickson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Cameron Jordan
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Marcus Davenport
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Carl Granderson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Chiefs. And wondering what happen last week with this squad? Well, Jordan just underperformed, and with DT Rankins back from I.R., Davenport, and Hendrickson bot played less than 48% of the snaps in a timeshare off the edge.
How did a DT affect the DE’s, or edge rushers? Well as we mentioned when Rankins went on I.R. Hendrickson continued his snaps on the interior and kept producing. That is over at this point.

Lorenzo Carter (IR)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Browns and a couple of reasons why we are marking them as avoids versus the Browns. Number one, the Browns do not allow much off the edge and sit in the bottom five. Second, they seem to be experimenting with their bench players and the snaps have been up and down for this group. Hence, Coughlin did shoot up to 80% of the snaps last contest and did very well. But this is new, and we don’t figure on new in the playoffs or chase points, to begin with.
Eagles Edge Rushers
Brandon Graham
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Derek Barnett
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Josh Sweat
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Genard Avery
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Cardinals. And as we saw last week with Sweet taking all the edge production available, we’re splitting it up this week and wishing everyone good luck. It’s just not that solid of a matchup on paper, to begin with, and divided by three.
If you have no choice but to pick one this week, Graham would be the most consistent out of the three so far. And despite the flop last week would be the odds on favorite.
Washington’s Edge Rushers
Montez Sweat
☆☆☆☆☆ 4.5/5
Chase Young
☆☆☆☆☆ 4.5/5
Ryan Kerrigan
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5

Cardinals Edge Rushers
Haason Reddick
☆☆☆☆☆ 5/5
Markus Golden
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Devon Kennard
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Chandler Jones (IR)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Eagles. And is actually the top matchup off the edge on paper for any NFL team. And the only reason that Golden isn’t a bit higher is that he ran 70% to Kennards 30% last week in a rotation.
Rams Edge Rushers
Aaron Donald
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Leonard Floyd
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Justin Hollins
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Samson Ebukam
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Jets. And we don’t suggest chasing Hollins’s points from last week. He did it with less than 45% of the snaps last week.
49ers Edge Rushers
Kerry Hyder
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Dion Jordan
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Arik Armstead
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Jordan Willis (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Cowboys. And for three weeks (our standard) former Seahawk retread Jones has played as one of the main snap count garnering players. And in the last two weeks has gone for some nice box scores. So at this point, we are marking him as he earned in marks versus the Cowboys. And on paper, this is a top 10 matchup off the edge. But our weighed balance of actual player consistency shows in the marks.
What really matters this contest, Dallas is a buffet at allowing production across the entire front line overall. So they bring the upside we have not added to those two players’ marks.
Seahawks Edge Rushers
Carlos Dunlap (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Benson Mayowa
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
L.J. Collier
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Alton Robinson
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus Washington, and whatever you do, if Dunlap is out, don’t give his marks to any other guy here. Washington is a nice matchup, but the talent and consistency are weighed in and they are not worth the risk here. And to be clear, we can’t give Dunlap a full amount of marks here either. The veteran is hurting and has only managed three good contests all season. We suggest looking elsewhere altogether, to be honest about it. The risk versus reward just seems too risky during a playoff run.
