Welcome to the WK11 Fantasy Football Ranking NFC Edge Rusher IDP Start/Sit Chart cheat sheets presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.
WK11 Fantasy Football Ranking NFC Edge Rusher
Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!
* The Fantasy Football Edge Rusher Chart would traditionally contain just the 3-4 outside linebackers and 4-3 defensive ends from the NFL’s two-base defensive schemes. But at times, for whatever reason, some of the main sites list some 3-4 defensive end. Not to mention some strongside linebackers from the 4-3 scheme. And one of those main sites that have been engaging IDP owners for quite a few years with the designated Edge Rusher position as an option is ESPN.COM.
So although this author doesn’t personally consider those 3-4 defensive ends a part of the true Edge Rushers, we will set these charts by whom they list as such. Because even if the position has been around for some time, on a few sites. It’s still in the process of gaining traction by IDP owners. And there still needs to be a baseline set somehow. So what better way to do it than with the old school, and one of the originals, but ESPN.
Note, this listing of ESPN Edge Rushers may not reflect this author’s Edge Rushers rankings or the Gridiron Rating player ratings. But until it is a full-fledge position used across the board and a player standard is set. We can’t ignore what the users of the charts and IDP owners may have access too. We’ll also mention that the Edge Rusher formula for these charts adds at least one additional step over the traditional five.

SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Panthers. Adding, there isn’t any reason at this point we can’t expect Okwara can’t get a little more than what the matchup offer on paper. So we’ve added just a touch of upside here.

☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Steven Means
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Jacob Tuioti- Mariner
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
John Cominsky
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Charles Harris
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: After finally cutting Tak, there has been some shuffling amongst this squad before their bye week. If things come out as they went into the bye, Tuioti- Mariner, and Means are the ones trending up. They are going up against the Saints this week without Brees, and they already bring their own reason to start these guys this week. But the risk factor is weighed in heavily, so we can’t suggest them full-heartedly. Perhaps over the next couple of contests things pan out.
Panthers Edge Rushers
Brian Burns
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Marquis Haynes (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Yetur Gross-Matos (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Efe Obada
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: On paper, as marked and adding that Burns could overachieve here, but rarely does. He is more of a guy who gets what the matchup offers and that’s about it. With that said, it’s safer looking at it as “barely” just solid with upside. But let’s be clear about something. The Lions are currently dead last in allowing production off the edge on average.
Saints Edge Rushers
Cameron Jordan
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Trey Hendrickson
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Marcus Davenport
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Carl Granderson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked, and the only reason they aren’t higher, it’s divided by three. Someone is going to have a real good game here, maybe a couple of them. We’re putting our odds on Jordan and Devenport. Since Davenports came back and Rankins went on I.R., Hendrickson has played a lot on the interior line. And the Falcons are a bit stingier inside over outside.
Buccaneers Edge Rushers
Jason Pierre-Paul (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Shaquil Barrett
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Anthony Nelson
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Quinton Bell
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Advice/Note: As marked versus the Rams. And JPP has been questionable more often than not all year nursing the knee, he hasn’t missed a game yet.
NFC East
Cowboys Edge Rushers
Aldon Smith
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
DeMarcus Lawrence (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Randy Gregory (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: First, as of the reports right now, the “boys” should all play. And as far as the marks on paper, it’s going to be tough versus the Vikings off the edge. But there is no reason to think they can’t hit their par and someone will likely beat it.
Giants Edge Rushers

Washington’s Edge Rushers
Chase Young
☆☆☆☆☆ 4.5/5
Montez Sweat
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Ryan Kerrigan
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Ryan Anderson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: The Bengals have recently locked down the edge. But they are still one of the upper options on paper and those contests that they stiffened up in were with the Jaguars and Ravens. The Jags are lackluster right now at the pass rush, and the Ravens are just now getting it together. There’s no reason to think the Washington edge rushers can’t hit par as they’ve been getting it done overall on the season. Even if they are coming off their own lackluster week versus the Lions. It’s a completely on the other end of the spectrum match up this week on paper.

Rams Edge Rushers
Aaron Donald
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Leonard Floyd
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Terrell Lewis
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Samson Ebukam
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
SEE NEW CHART KEY ABOVE -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Buccaneers. The squad won’t have an easy day but should manage t hit their par, and maybe a touch more. And we’ll note, the rookie Lewis finally saw a few more snaps versus the Seahawks last contest. And with just about 40% of the snaps, he impressed. But that was a real favorable matchup, and this one isn’t. But hopefully, we might see him get another boost in his time on the field and get another look at what he can do versus a little tougher matchup.
We need to add, Floyd makes us nervous. We gave him the benefit of the doubt here, after putting three out of four good contests in. He was a pretty shacky play for IDP owners as he wasn’t even hitting par on paper via the matchups. And most recently, in WK8, he was shut down completely by the Dolphins. Who granted, at the time started their current upswing on offense, but still, it wasn’t that tough of a matchup at the time.
