The NFC Interior Defensive Lineman Start/Sit Cheat Sheet Charts contain all the interior defensive lineman in both NFL defensive schemes.

If you are looking for names like Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, or Danielle Hunter…

Those are defensive ends in the NFL’s 4-3 defensive scheme and are now located with the 3-4 schemed Outside Linebackers in the new Edge Rusher charts. So if you do not see your player’s name, and unsure as to why. They likely can be found there, where we apply an even deeper formula to get these weekly start/sits right for IDP sack-heavy formats.

As an example, a couple had “just” solid results last week when they should have been more solid. Consistency along with the situation of how the Lions deployed the DLs last week has us just giving them what is on paper. At least based on what the player’s as individuals have accomplished this far. So, anything at the mid point is “barely” just solid.

But the guy is a beast and we are still going to give him what is on paper. On the flip side of that double-teaming, that has opened a few more opportunities for a couple of the other players when the matchup has been right.

With that said, as marked and with upside, we can’t figure out if we should add or not. And a warning on Clark if you have other options with players that are studs like him.

And it likely has something to do with the Saints using Hendrickson in the mix now on the interior line. For that reason, we’ve given them the benefit of the doubt in this result. Just know that on paper, at best, it’s just solid. And we are watching to see if we have the same effect with Hendrickson in there again this week. The thing is, by the time we figure it out, does Rankins return and change the entire landscape again.

When we did the charts it certainly looked like it was marked he had been called out for the contest. And of course, he had one heck of a game in the process. We aren’t sure if we simply mistakenly saw an “O” when it was a “Q”, or what. But please know we are going to try and make sure this doesn’t happen again.

So, on paper, this isn’t as solid as we have marked versus the Panthers. And it’s the players’ upside and the additional upside of having the Edge Rushers they have added in that got them where they are. And we won’t be shocked if either player, even both, could overachieve this week. We just can’t add that much upside into the formula because it will distort the actual matchup on paper.
