Welcome to this week’s DFS breakdown, where we dive deep into the tipping points of the slate, the best stacks, mini-stacks, and individual plays to help you build a winning lineup. The beauty of this week’s slate is the wide range of options, especially at quarterback and running back, where some high-upside players are simply mispriced. We’ll break down the main stacks that could lead to explosive results, look at some game-specific mini-stacks that could be the key to unlocking hidden value, and cover position-by-position recommendations to round out your lineup. Whether you’re all-in on a high-octane game stack or looking for those under-the-radar plays that everyone else is missing, I’ve got you covered with the analysis and insight to help you crush your GPPs.
Tipping Points
RB Chase Brown (CIN)
Moss is out this week, and this sub-$6,000 RB is expected to be very popular, for good reason. Brown hasn’t handled a big workload in the NFL yet, but he did plenty of that in college. The Raiders' run defense has been inconsistent, with some weeks being awful and others solid. In my opinion, Brown is a bit over-owned, and I’d consider paying $300 less for Tyrone Tracy.
Main Stacks
I will put these in order of preference for the weekend. I have a few QBs in the pool that I like quite a bit.
QB Jalen Hurts + WR AJ Brown + TE Evan Engram
The Jaguars' defense has struggled, making this an ideal week for AJ Brown. Jacksonville plays the most man coverage in the NFL, creating opportunities for Hurts to run and for Brown to dominate, as he’s been one of the league's most effective players against man coverage. There’s simply no one on the Jaguars' defense capable of consistently covering him.
On the other side, Evan Engram stands to benefit tremendously without Christian Kirk. He has averaged 7 receptions and over 70 yards in games when Kirk is out, and this matchup is perfect for him to take on a substantial workload. Engram should see plenty of action in what sets up to be a high-usage game for him.
QB Dak Prescott + WR CeeDee Lamb + TE Jake Ferguson + RB Bijan Robinson
The Falcons’ weak pass rush has struggled to pressure quarterbacks, even against weaker offensive lines, giving Dak Prescott rare time in the pocket. With this extra time, Prescott should be able to exploit the Falcons’ recent vulnerability to big plays, setting up CeeDee Lamb for an explosive performance downfield. Additionally, this matchup presents a strong opportunity for tight end Jake Ferguson, who could capitalize on the soft coverage that allowed Cade Otton to score twice last week. Ferguson has become a reliable red-zone target for Prescott and should find favorable matchups in the middle of the field and near the end zone.
On the other side, the Cowboys’ inability to stop the run puts Bijan Robinson in line for a big day if the Falcons commit to him. Kirk Cousins, well-acquainted with Mike Zimmer and Eric Kendricks’ defensive strategies, should be able to dissect them, which could create favorable game flow for the Prescott stack. Pairing Lamb and Robinson in a mini-stack is one of the best options on the slate for added upside.
QB Joe Burrow + WR Ja’Marr Chase + WR Jermaine Burton
This setup largely stems from Burrow specifically mentioning Burton as someone he wants to involve more, given Burton’s success against man coverage. Using Burton here offers a unique approach to this game, especially with Chase Brown projected to be highly owned. Meanwhile, Ja’Marr Chase has the potential for one of his explosive, game-breaking performances against the Raiders' secondary, which hasn’t faced a pass catcher of his caliber all season. If Burrow is going to have a big game, it will likely require contributions from two reliable pass catchers.
QB Bryce Young + WR Jalen Coker + RB Alvin Kamara
I know how ugly this looks but the pricing here allows you to get to all of the best options on the slate. The Saints are down their top 3 cornerbacks and just got destroyed by Ladd McConkey and the Chargers passing game. Coker has looked good in the slot and looked the part for Young last week. The price point of this to jam in studs is why it is worth it.
The Panthers run defense took a step up last week so I think you can run Chris Olave back here as well but Kamara is the obvious choice with his usage as a pass catcher and the return of Derek Carr.
Mini Stacks
Rams @ Seahawks
RB Kyren Williams WR Tyler Lockett
Seattle’s run defense has been struggling, and Kyren Williams' workload has been outstanding. With Puka Nacua banged up, Williams’ usage could increase even more. Plus, the Seahawks can’t completely focus on stopping the run with the Rams' potent passing game featuring Cooper Kupp and Nacua both in the lineup.
On the other side, crossing routes have consistently been a weak spot for the Rams' secondary, and Lockett has been Geno Smith’s most productive receiver on these routes. With DK Metcalf out, this could be the perfect opportunity for Lockett to have his first 100-yard game since 2022—which, notably, also came against the Rams.
Dolphins @ Bills
RB De’Von Achane WR Amari Cooper
With Tua back, Achane's workload as both a rusher and receiver becomes significantly enhanced. In his last game against the Bills, he nearly hit the double bonus, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar numbers this week. When starting alongside Tua, Achane is on pace for 125 targets—an extraordinary figure for a running back, providing a fantastic floor on DraftKings.
This could also be the first game where we see Cooper get a full route share with the Bills. I don’t expect Ramsey to shadow him, as the Dolphins have been utilizing Ramsey in the slot, likely focusing his coverage on players like Kincaid and Shakir. This setup gives Cooper the opportunity to capitalize on matchups with Miami’s other cornerbacks, creating potential for big plays.
Lions @ Packers
RB Jahmyr Gibbs WR Romeo Doubs
The Packers haven’t faced an offensive skill group with the depth and talent of the Lions all season, and I believe this could be a big week for Gibbs. Although Gibbs doesn’t get as many touches as we'd like, his explosiveness could make a significant impact against Green Bay.
Jordan Love is dealing with an injury but is expected to play, and Doubs has been his go-to option against man coverage this year. Without Aidan Hutchinson, the Lions' pass rush could be less of a threat, giving Love the opportunity to take deep shots to Doubs. I wanted to stack Love in this matchup, but his injury makes it too risky to fully trust.
Top Plays
These are top plays that I have not mentioned yet.
RB Tyrone Tracy
He was in concussion protocol all week but cleared it late, and his ownership remains low. He's been incredibly explosive over the past few weeks, and the starting role is his. While the Commanders have shown a strong pass rush recently, they've also allowed some big runs—an opportunity Tracy could exploit for the Giants.
RB Derrick Henry
I’m not overly enthusiastic about Derrick Henry, but he's low-owned, and with Lamar Jackson missing all week of practice, the Ravens are projected to have one of the highest totals on the slate. This creates the perfect setup for Henry to have a breakout game and potentially turn the slate upside down.
WR Elijah Moore
Moore leads the team in targets when Jameis is at quarterback, making him a strong alternative to the popular choice of Tillman.
WR Chris Olave
The Panthers have struggled to stop number one wide receivers, and now they face a Saints team where Olave is the only receiver that truly matters.
TE Trey McBride
The Bears have an elite secondary, but they struggle to defend tight ends. Marvin Harrison faces a tough matchup here, but McBride could find some opportunities for big plays against this secondary.
TE Taysom Hill
Derek Carr has returned, making the Saints' offense more competent, which could bring Taysom Hill's red zone work back into play. Hill caught a touchdown in their first matchup and ran the ball effectively.
Full Player Pool
I am changing this section up a bit and uploading the full pool below. You can search by team, player, opponent and if they aren't appearing they are not in my pool. Next week we will finally have the advanced data we need to make some more advanced plays on the slate.
