Welcome to this week’s DFS breakdown, where we dive deep into the tipping points of the slate, the best stacks, mini-stacks, and individual plays to help you build a winning lineup. The beauty of this week’s slate is the wide range of options, especially at quarterback and running back, where some high-upside players are simply mispriced. We’ll break down the main stacks that could lead to explosive results, look at some game-specific mini-stacks that could be the key to unlocking hidden value, and cover position-by-position recommendations to round out your lineup. Whether you’re all-in on a high-octane game stack or looking for those under-the-radar plays that everyone else is missing, I’ve got you covered with the analysis and insight to help you crush your GPPs.

Tipping Points

This is a huge slate so ownership doesn’t matter a ton.

RB Javonte Williams (DEN)

The Panthers' run defense is dreadful, so I understand why Williams is chalk. I do like Williams, and there are numerous ways to get unique on this slate. Additionally, I think Bo Nix and another rookie from Denver can take enough volume away from Williams to make it into the optimal lineup.

Main Stacks

I will put these in order of preference for the weekend. I have a few QBs in the pool that I like quite a bit.

QB Bo Nix + WR Devaughn Vele

This is my favorite stack of the weekend because it allows you to load up on studs at other positions, primarily from my stacks. Nix has been running more in recent weeks, and his rushing ability will reduce the Javonte Williams chalk. Numerous injuries have propelled Vele into a larger role, making him the perfect complement to stack with Nix this weekend. I don’t plan to run it back with any Panthers players, as the Broncos' defense is very strong.

QB Caleb Williams + WR DJ Moore

The Bears are coming off a bye week and will face a Washington Commanders team that might be without Jayden Daniels. If Daniels plays, I like Terry McLaurin as a strong option. If he doesn’t, here’s how I’d approach stacking this game: Moore has a big-play opportunity with Williams at quarterback. The Commanders run a lot of Cover 1 coverage, where Moore has been Williams' go-to target.

I considered a double stack with Cole Kmet, Rome Odunze, and Keenan Allen—all solid plays—but I’d lean toward the ceiling potential with Moore, hoping Williams can also contribute on the ground.

QB Kirk Cousins + WR Drake London + WR Darnell Mooney / WR Jalen McMillan + TE Cade Otton

Cousins threw for 500 yards in their first matchup, and there could have been even more if not for some drops. London and Mooney found separation with ease in that game, and I fully expect that to be the case again. Todd Bowles stuck with the same coverage throughout the game, and if he didn’t adjust after halftime, I don’t expect much change this time either. Even if they do adjust, their defensive backs aren’t equipped to cover these receivers in man-to-man coverage.

Two teams offer significant value for this slate: the Buccaneers and the Browns. Both teams have extremely affordable options at each pass-catching position, and I think the Buccaneers will find a lot of success in this game. The Falcons lack a pass rush, while the Buccaneers boast a strong offensive line. I don’t think the Buccaneers will rely on deep throws; instead, they’ll use methodical drives to get the job done, which means McMillan and Otton should thrive in a PPR format. At running back, Rachaad White or Bucky Irving could be solid picks, but there isn’t enough certainty to fully commit in that direction.

QB Jordan Love + WR Jayden Reed + WR Romeo Doubs / WR Brian Thomas Jr.

The Jaguars play a lot of man coverage, creating opportunities for deep shots if the Packers decide to take that route. Both Reed and Doubs are likely to thrive downfield; it’s just a matter of touchdowns and getting the Packers to play from behind or in a competitive game. Regardless, Doubs is a strong play here, as he’s been Love’s preferred target in man coverage situations.

If the Jaguars can pick up the blitz, Brian Thomas will have significant big-play potential. If they struggle to do so, the Packers could overwhelm Trevor Lawrence, making their defense the best GPP option on this loaded slate.

QB Jalen Hurts + WR DeVonta Smith + TE Grant Calcaterra/ WR Ja’Marr Chase + WR Tee Higgins

It may seem unconventional to play both Chase and Higgins without Burrow, but Hurts has the potential to outscore Burrow, while Chase and Higgins can still deliver GPP-winning scores. The Bengals' defense will likely focus on stopping the Eagles' run game, trusting their cornerbacks to limit the Eagles' receivers and banking on Jalen Hurts struggling in the air—a strategy they previously used effectively against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Derrick Henry posted a decent stat line against the Bengals, but without a 51-yard carry in overtime, he would have averaged just 2.9 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Jackson threw for 340 yards, with Zay Flowers contributing 111 of those yards. Additionally, if you combine the production of Likely, Andrews, and Kolar from that game, they totaled three touchdowns and over 100 yards. Though Calcaterra ran routes on 90% of the Eagles' plays last weekend, Hurts barely dropped back, so there’s potential for a higher passing workload this week if game conditions demand it.

I’m stacking Smith over Brown due to price points across the slate, although a double-stack of Hurts with Brown and Smith, with just Higgins as the run-back, could be effective. Another viable stacking option involves Saquon paired with either Chase or Higgins, which explains the lower ranking for this stack. Both wide receivers have a strong chance of surpassing 100 yards in this game against inexperienced cornerbacks, supported by a solid offensive line.

Mini Stacks

Jets @ Patriots

RB Breece Hall WR Demario Douglas

Hall is one of the chalk plays on this slate, and for good reason. The Patriots' defense has been "soft" this season, and losing Kyle Dugger, one of their key defensive players, only compounds this issue. Since the change at offensive coordinator, Hall has taken on a full-time role, and a heavy workload should translate into a big day for him.

On the other side, Douglas has been Maye’s preferred target, but illness in London limited his playing time recently. Now fully healthy, I’m expecting him to see at least six receptions in this game. The Jets are also gaining Hassan Reddick for the first time this weekend, which should increase their pressure on Maye. This likely means a reliance on quick passes, making Douglas a key asset in the Patriots' short passing game.

Cardinals @ Dolphins

RB James Conner WR Tyreek Hill AND/OR RB De’Von Achane

The Dolphins lost their best interior defender this weekend, giving the Cardinals a potential edge on the ground. Conner has been an outstanding runner this season and is flying under the radar for this weekend. His role in the passing game has also expanded over the last three weeks, and with Sieler out for the Dolphins, there should be more room for Conner to find success on the ground.

With Tua back, all Miami players become viable options for GPPs. Playing both Achane and Hill could be a smart move, as they complement each other well, and their current price points offer strong potential returns.

Top Plays

These are top plays that I have not mentioned yet.

RB JK Dobbins

The Saints are struggling across the board and have allowed over 200 rushing yards in each of their last two games. Enter the Chargers, who are dealing with lingering injuries at wide receiver but have a workhorse running back in Dobbins. While Dobbins is a bit chalky, he’s a strong play against this weakened Saints defense.

RB Joe Mixon

The Texans’ offensive line has struggled to protect CJ Stroud, forcing them to lean heavily on Joe Mixon while they work things out. Mixon has been productive both on the ground and through the air this season, thriving in the best rushing scheme of his career. He already posted a 30-point performance against the Colts earlier this season and now has the advantage of playing at home, setting up another potentially big game.

WR Jerry Jeudy OR TE David Njoku

I don’t think the Browns' offensive line can hold up well enough for a consistently effective performance, but I do believe they’ll find some success through the air with Jameis Winston. His primary targets will likely be Jeudy and Njoku, who stand out as the best options in this setup. Winston is expected to focus heavily on them, making both solid plays in this game.

Full Player Pool

I am changing this section up a bit and uploading the full pool below. You can search by team, player, opponent and if they aren't appearing they are not in my pool. Next week we will finally have the advanced data we need to make some more advanced plays on the slate.
