Welcome to this week’s DFS breakdown, where we dive deep into the tipping points of the slate, the best stacks, mini-stacks, and individual plays to help you build a winning lineup. The beauty of this week’s slate is the wide range of options, especially at quarterback and running back, where some high-upside players are simply mispriced. We’ll break down the main stacks that could lead to explosive results, look at some game-specific mini-stacks that could be the key to unlocking hidden value, and cover position-by-position recommendations to round out your lineup. Whether you’re all-in on a high-octane game stack or looking for those under-the-radar plays that everyone else is missing, I’ve got you covered with the analysis and insight to help you crush your GPPs.

Tipping Points

I want to take a different approach and focus on the key anchors to begin. These are the players projected to be extremely popular, and I'll discuss how I plan to handle their high ownership in my lineups. This section will contain any player projecting over 30% ownership on the main slate.

RB Jordan Mason

Mason is 30% owned again and at the $7,400 price tag he’s someone I would match or go underweight on against the Cardinals. The 49ers are implied the most points on the slate, they are at home and the Cardinals do not have a good run defense.

Main Stacks

I will put these in order of preference for the weekend. I have a few QBs in the pool that I like quite a bit.

QB Jayden Daniels + WR Terry McLaurin + WR Amari Cooper

QB Deshaun Watson + WR Amari Cooper + WR Jerry Jeudy + WR Terry McLaurin

Daniels currently holds the highest completion percentage through the first four games in NFL history. However, this week will be a significant test, as the Browns frequently play man coverage and rarely allow easy throws into soft zones. There are numerous clips where McLaurin has told Daniels, "If it's man-to-man, come my way," and Daniels has followed that advice in recent games, which sets the stage for success this week. If the Browns opt for a high rate of man coverage, Daniels is likely to use his mobility, and his speed presents a unique challenge. I expect him to post high rushing numbers along with hitting deep shots to McLaurin. Overall, I prefer the Daniels stack over the Watson stack, but I can see the argument for both.

On the flip side, the Commanders’ secondary has been dreadful, and the Browns aren’t receiving much attention in ownership projections. Watson is an easy double-stack option to explore, especially with Cooper and Jerry Jeudy, who have accounted for 45% of Watson’s targets this season. I’m leaning towards a Watson double stack because he’ll need to push for that 300-yard passing bonus, while Daniels is more likely to get it done with his legs. These two stacks are my favorite plays on the slate, as both open the door for some incredible lineup builds.

QB Joe Flacco + WR Michael Pittman Jr. + WR Josh Downs / RB Travis Etienne + WR Brian Thomas Jr.

Flacco is back and this matchup is one I want to buy into as a full game stack. This has the ability to be a shootout because this Jaguars defense lives in man coverage and they can’t really cover anybody. Flacco is going to dink and dunk towards Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs like he did last weekend. I wanted to play Adonai Mitchell here, but he’s in rotation with Pierce, and can’t justify him until he’s playing more snaps but I don’t mind him if it allows you to get to some of the top options.

For Flacco to be the best on the slate, he needs to be pushed and we have two very explosive ways to get there with Etienne and Brian Thomas Jr. The Cols aren’t a good run defense and Etienne doesn’t need much to find those explosive plays. Once they get him going they have to go to cover 3, and their boundary corners have not been good and cannot cover Brian Thomas Jr. one on one. I want pieces of this game, it can be a mini or it can be one offs, but there’s a lot of value here.

QB Jordan Love + WR Jayden Reed + WR Dontayvion Wicks / RB Kyren Williams + WR Jordan Whittington

The field is leaning towards playing Tucker Kraft, but I’m opting for a double stack with a different option at TE in Eric All Jr. I'm targeting the explosive upside of Jordan Love’s top options: Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks. Both players made significant contributions during the comeback effort, and with Romeo Doubs out, they'll see increased workloads. Meanwhile, Bo Melton and Malik Heath are gaining traction, but I believe them being rostered is going to bring down the ownership of the main players. The Rams' secondary has struggled all season, and I’m not swayed by last week’s performance—Caleb Williams simply missed opportunities to hit open receivers.

For Jordan Love to be pushed into optimal QB territory on this slate, the Rams need to establish a strong run game and score touchdowns. Kyren Williams is the key to that, especially with the Rams' offensive line getting healthy. The Packers' run defense has been weak for most of the season, making Williams a must-play in Love stacks. He's also the ideal mini-stack option with Wicks. Additionally, Jordan Whittington has secured the short aDOT role we always want from a Sean McVay offense, and he delivered big numbers against a talented Bears secondary. At his current price, Whittington has one of the safest floors on the slate.

QB Joe Burrow + WR Ja’Marr Chase or WR Tee Higgins + TE Erick All Jr. / RB Derrick Henry

I'm a bit concerned about Joe Burrow’s offensive line, which is why I have this game stack ranked lower on my list. However, it’s still an easy stack to build around if you include Erick All Jr. The Ravens have struggled to defend tight ends this season, and All is becoming a more integral part of the offense. With all the defensive focus likely going towards Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, I believe one of them is poised for a breakout performance, justifying their price tag. While the Ravens have typically had an answer for the Bengals, the absence of Mike Macdonald may hinder their ability to execute at that same high level.

I’m leaning towards playing Derrick Henry in this game, though I also have Lamar Jackson as a potential QB option in my pool. You could even mini-stack Lamar or Henry with Tee Higgins, or simply use Erick All as a budget-friendly option, allowing you to pivot towards other premium players. As for Henry, he’s coming off two straight games with over 150 rushing yards, has scored in every game, and is facing a Bengals defense that, while getting healthier, still lacks defensive tackles and is vulnerable to big running plays.

There's a scenario where the Bengals sell out to stop Henry, leaving Lamar Jackson to deliver a huge rushing performance. In that case, Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Mark Andrews become much more appealing plays. However, my preference still leans toward Burrow and a potential mini-stack.

Mini Stacks

Giants @ Seahawks

RB Kenneth Walker DST Seattle

The Seahawks dismantled the Giants last season, they had 11 sacks, 2 interceptions, recovered a fumble, and one of those was a pick six. The Giants do not have Malik Nabers and the scheme of the Seahawks has improved and got healthy after their game with the Lions. Then you have Kenneth Walker that’s been incredible this season, had three rushing touchdowns on 12 carries last week and I think this is one of those games where Walker gets fed volume because the Giants cannot score points.

Bills @ Texans

TE Dalton Kincaid WR Tank Dell

With Khalil Shakir out this week, Dalton Kincaid is set to become the primary target in an offense that has struggled to get consistent production from the tight end position. Kincaid is poised to see 8+ targets, giving him ample opportunity to make a significant impact. His ability to create mismatches with his size and athleticism makes this a favorable matchup, especially against a defense that hasn’t been strong against tight ends. This is a prime spot for Kincaid to step up and potentially have his best performance of the season.

While much of the attention is on Stefon Diggs' revenge narrative or the impressive play of Nico Collins, I believe we’re going to see Tank Dell bounce back in a big way for the Texans. Diggs knows the defense and is probably helping the entire WR core understand what they want to takeaway and how to exploit it. Dell has shown explosive potential earlier in the season, and with Collins drawing significant defensive attention, and the Bills trying to make sure nothing goes Diggs’ way.

Top Plays

These are top plays that I have not mentioned yet.

RB Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs hasn't seen a full workload recently, which is a bit concerning, but we know he's more than capable of handling an elite workhorse role. This matchup against the Rams is favorable, as they likely won't be able to game script him out of the contest. I like the idea of mini-stacking Jacobs with Jordan Whittington, who has been consistent and offers a solid floor in this spot.

RB D’Andre Swift

D'Andre Swift burned me two weeks ago, but he looked incredible last weekend and now faces a Panthers' run defense that has lost nearly every key piece. Swift played 63% of the snaps, and the only other running back to see the field was Roschon Johnson. The Panthers are primed to give up big rushing days moving forward, and the Eagles could even get creative with players like DJ Moore on jet sweeps for added explosiveness. While Swift isn’t a must-play, he’s certainly a great option on this slate given the matchup.

RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.

This is simply a $4,300 running back that’s capable of being a WR as well. I don’t want to get here, but it’s a popular play on this slate from an ownership perspective.

WR Brandon Aiyuk

Brandon Aiyuk is going overlooked this week. His ownership should be much higher given his consistent big-play potential. If you’re not playing Jordan Mason, pivoting to Aiyuk is a smart move on this slate. He offers significant upside in the 49ers' passing game and is a strong leverage play in a potentially favorable matchup.

Full Player Pool

I am changing this section up a bit and uploading the full pool below. You can search by team, player, opponent and if they aren't appearing they are not in my pool. Next week we will finally have the advanced data we need to make some more advanced plays on the slate.
