Welcome to this week’s DFS breakdown, where we dive deep into the tipping points of the slate, the best stacks, mini-stacks, and individual plays to help you build a winning lineup. The beauty of this week’s slate is the wide range of options, especially at quarterback and running back, where some high-upside players are simply mispriced. We’ll break down the main stacks that could lead to explosive results, look at some game-specific mini-stacks that could be the key to unlocking hidden value, and cover position-by-position recommendations to round out your lineup. Whether you’re all-in on a high-octane game stack or looking for those under-the-radar plays that everyone else is missing, I’ve got you covered with the analysis and insight to help you crush your GPPs.

Tipping Points

RB Jahmyr Gibbs

Without David Montgomery, the Lions are 7.5-point favorites on the road in a cold, chilly game. Jahmyr Gibbs is coming in at over 30% ownership on this slate, and this is a straightforward game theory play.

Gibbs is really good, in a favorable spot, and chalk for a reason. If you play him, focus on finding ways to differentiate your lineup elsewhere. The Lions' passing game delivers, and Craig Reynolds steals the other touchdown. This scenario is appealing and my favorite. The Lions don’t score many points. While this is the least likely option, it’s worth considering.

Option 1—playing Gibbs—is perfectly fine, but exploring Option 2 can offer more unique lineup construction and potential upside.

RB Chase Brown

Unquestioned workload and a big favorite at home against the Browns who are really bad. Easy to see why Brown is a bit chalky this weekend and at the 25% range. I don’t love or hate Brown this week, and won’t fade/force him into a build. If I don’t think the lineup is chalky and he fits, I will happily play him.

TE Brenton Strange

Sub $4,000 punt play at TE that was targeted 12 times last week. Strange is an awesome punt play at TE, the chalk has followed that but I actually have a different punt play in mind.

RB James Conner

Every RB getting a lot of work will be chalk against the Panthers. Conner kicked ass last weekend and I think he could do the same this weekend.

Main Stacks

I will put these in order of preference for the weekend. I have a few QBs in the pool that I like quite a bit.

QB Michael Pennix + WR Darnell Mooney + One of ( WR Drake London or RB Bijan Robinson)

Pennix is my favorite play of the entire slate because I think this offense is way too talented to have not scored a lot of points and will be much more explosive against the Giants. The Giants are tanking and can’t sustain drives which will be great for getting Pennix and the Falcons on the field. I don’t have data to give you on Pennix being great but I can say that he is mobile and to me the best pure passer of this years draft class. I think this is a blowup spot for the Falcons.

QB Brock Purdy + WR Jauan Jennings + TE George Kittle  + TE Jonnu Smith or WR Malik Washington

No McCaffrey, Mason, Guerrendo, and that means a high pass rate for the 49ers. The Dolphins play a lot of Cover 3 and Cover 2. Jennings and Kittle are the best players this year against these coverages for Brock Purdy. I don’t mind Deebo Samuel here but I do believe his path is getting a rushing TD to be a great play. I do not think you NEED to run it back, but Jonnu and Malik Washington are the two guys I like in the matchup.

QB Mac Jones + WR Brian Thomas Jr. + TE Brenton Strange + TE Brock Bowers or WR Jakobi Meyers

The Raiders are not a great team and Mac Jones has been solid the last few quarters. I don’t think the Raiders can cover Brian Thomas and the big plays down the field should be there. Then you have the chalk TE that pairs well with Jones and correlates to getting the passing TDs you need. I am playing more of the Pennix stack over this one but it is a good stack for this slate and Jones is not being played. The run back is also pretty simple with Bowers or Meyers. Both of these guys are the only viable options for the Raiders to score points in this

Mini Stacks

Lions @ Bears

RB Jahmyr Gibbs WR DJ Moore/WR Keenan Allen

RB D’Andre Swift WR Amon-Ra St. Brown/WR Jameson Williams

There are two ways to stack this game. I love the Swift side because I think that’s how you beat the Lions defense. Their LBs are not covering well and are bad at stopping the run. The Gibbs side here will be very popular but it deserves to be.

Cardinals @ Panthers

RB James Conner WR Jalen Coker

WR Marvin Harrison Jr. RB Chuba Hubbard

If you are playing the chalk RB of Conner, Coker is the player to run it back with because he is unowned. The other mini-stack is one that I like flips the gamescript. And goes for Marvin Harrison who is in a spot where he can put up big numbers and Hubbard is facing a bottom 10 run defense in the NFL.

Vikings @ Seahawks

RB Aaron Jones WR DK Metcalf

The Seahawks run defense is awful and Jones has had back to back games where he has run the ball well. You could go to a WR on the Vikings but I think Seattle mixes up their coverages well and they give it to Jones a bit more.

Metcalf at $5,500 is pretty wild but it makes sense with how bad he has been. I think we see a better and more involved Metcalf in this match. Metcalf has averaged over 2 yards per route run against the blitz the last two years and this is a team that blitzes a ton.

Rams @ Jets

WR Puka Nacua RB Breece Hall

The Jets can’t defend screens well and Nacua has been incredible off screen passes. Nacua also has been incredible as of late.

Metcalf at $5,500 is pretty wild but it makes sense with how bad he has been. I think we see a better and more involved Metcalf in this match. Metcalf has averaged over 2 yards per route run against the blitz the last two years and this is a team that blitzes a ton.

Top Plays

These are top plays that I have not mentioned yet.

RB Chase Brown

Explained.

RB Saquon Barkley

Hard to get to, but he was sick against the Commanders on the thursday game they had last time. Would not shock me to see a big game from him there.

WR Ja’Marr Chase

Hard price to get to but definitely a grea play and pivot off of Brown.

WR Demario Douglas

Should see a lot of playing time while playing from behind.

TE Ben Sinnott

I see an increase in playtime for the rookie and should be an impact player for the Commanders.

TE Brenton Strange

So many targets last week.

Full Player Pool

I am changing this section up a bit and uploading the full pool below. You can search by team, player, opponent and if they aren't appearing they are not in my pool. Next week we will finally have the advanced data we need to make some more advanced plays on the slate.
