Welcome to this week’s DFS breakdown, where we dive deep into the tipping points of the slate, the best stacks, mini-stacks, and individual plays to help you build a winning lineup. The beauty of this week’s slate is the wide range of options, especially at quarterback and running back, where some high-upside players are simply mispriced. We’ll break down the main stacks that could lead to explosive results, look at some game-specific mini-stacks that could be the key to unlocking hidden value, and cover position-by-position recommendations to round out your lineup. Whether you’re all-in on a high-octane game stack or looking for those under-the-radar plays that everyone else is missing, I’ve got you covered with the analysis and insight to help you crush your GPPs.

Tipping Points

RB Chuba Hubbard

The Panthers are thin at RB with Jonathan Brooks tearing his ACL making Hubbard the chalk RB of this week at $6,500. He hasn’t been efficient against some of the better run defenses in football but the Cowboys are beat up and have onlt had a select few games where the run defense has showed up and that’s agianst bad OLs. I do not think Chuba is a “fade” or a “must play” it depends on the rest of the lineup and his salary is pretty easy to make work and I would guarantee him 20-25 touches.

RB Chase Brown

He’s been a workhorse since Moss went down to injury but this is pretty fragile chalk. He’s $7,200, plays with one of the best passing offenses in football that can prevent him from putting up the monster GPP score. I will be underweight on him this week at the price with some options above him and below him that I like.

RB Rico Dowdle

Dowdle has finally gotten the ball and he’s done a lot with it. The Panthers run defense is awful and the Cowboys OL is playing a physical brand of football. A Dowdle/Thielen mini is one I will write up in a bit because it’s one of my favorite options on the slate.

RB James Conner

I don’t know what to think of this. Patriots have allowed one rushing touchdown in the last 5 weeks. Conner gets a lot of work as a runner and a pass catcher, but it’s a weird game.

Main Stacks

I will put these in order of preference for the weekend. I have a few QBs in the pool that I like quite a bit.

QB Josh Allen + WR Amari Cooper +  WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

Another week where the field is paying DOWN at QB. Josh Allen is again sub 5% ownership, in a dome, and a 54.5 over under. I like this a lot, but I will not be going as heavy as I did last weekend for a few reasons. There are other slate breaking QBs on the slate (Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels, Jalen Hurts). The cheaper QBs are a bit better. This is a bigger slate and the chalk isn’t $9,000 Saquon Barkley, it’s living in the mid range level of players. But getting back to the stack, Amari Cooper had 14 targets in 37 snaps, I love his usage and he should win against these defensive backs. I don’t mind doubling Allen here, my preferred players would be Keon Coleman or Dalton Kincaid, but Kincaid may not suit up and of course… You can always play Shakir if you can get up to him. I want one WR to get exposure to other players and also, I want Allen to run… That’s the way he breaks the slate and against the Lions he should have that ability.

The run back here can really be any of the Lions but I went with Amon-Ra because McVay gave the blueprint on how to attack these DBs and I expect that to work through St. Brown. He’s been incredible all season long. Outside of St. Brown, Gibbs and Jameson Williams would be my two favorite run backs because of their ability for the home run plays that turn this into a high paced environment. I am also considering Jared Goff stacks, but landed mainly on the Allen explosion game again.

QB Jayden Daniels + WR Terry McLaurin

The Saints are an awful football team and I think the Commanders want to get Daniels back into a rhythm to be in contention for the offensive rookie of the year and what better way to do that against the team in the state that he won a heisman (LSU). I loved a lot more when Brian Robinson was projecting to be a bit more chalky, but he’s been squeezed out by the other $6,000 RBs and makes the Commanders offense just a really good play no matter how you go about it. There is no need to run back or double stack Daniels here. You need Daniels to run for him to be the GPP player at his price and you need McLaurin to dominate the touches. I think both can be true here in a game the Saints get blown out.

QB Tua Tagovailoa + 2 of (Tyreek Hill, Jonnu Smith, Jaylen Waddle) + WR Nico Collins

I want to invest into this game for the 1 pm slate but I am a bit afraid for the main slate which is why it ranked a little lower here. Tua doesn’t run enough for me to put him ahead of the two players above but him throwing for over 300…400 yards would not surprise me in this matchup. I think both offenses will learn running the ball isn’t the path to the explosive plays and the explosive plays will be through the air. I ranked the Dolphins how I would play them and I think I am just playing Nico Collins > Tank Dell and Joe Mixon because he’s been clear and away their best player.

QB Justin Herbert + WR Ladd McConkey + WR Joshua Palmer or TE Stone Smartt + WR Mike Evans + RB Rachaad White

Herbert is a bit owned this week so if I play him I want to be bought into the game from the top to the bottom. Joshua Palmer is weirdly not really owned here despite being there second best passing option here by a decent margin. Stone Smartt is just insanely cheap and the easy punt TE this weekend. As for run backs, the Buccaneers offense is going through Mike Evans and Rachaad White without Bucky Irving in the mix. I love both in this game and as a mini-stack if you get to Ladd or Palmer here. The Tampa Bay secondary has been awful and I like targeting the matchup here.

QB Lamar Jackson + WR Rashod Bateman

I really like Bateman this week as the play for me against the Giants with this massive spread. They have allowed 7 touchdowns this year to boundary WRs and Bateman has the highest target share from out wide on the team and his best games have been getting looks out wide. Now stacking Lamar is just a way to get different and maybe Lamar has one of those 275 passing 70 yard rushing days where he gets 5 touchdowns. They play 3 games in 11 days it’s just hard to imagine they workhorse Henry here. They need to be smart and let him take a brute workload against the Steelers or Texans shortly after this game.

Mini Stacks

Dallas @ Panthers

RB Rico Dowdell  WR Adam Thielen

Panthers run defense is really bad and they could be trailing in this game. That would be on the back of Dowdell.

The Cowboys CBs have been awful all year long and Thielen has averaged 100 yards receiving in the last two games. He’s clearly Bryce’s favorite and should be targeted a lot. He is starting to gain some popularity though… makes me stare at Xavier Legette who is also playing well through a wrist injury.

Bengals @ Titans

WR Ja’Marr Chase or WR Tee Higgins  RB Tony Pollard

The Titans should not be able to cover both of these WRs here and I expect one to have a big time score. The reason I don’t love Burrow is the price point, he isn’t cheap and I would rather buy into a Miami/Houston game at similar cost in an environment that has better QB play.

With Chase Brown being chalk, I love Pollard as the anti play here. He’s been battling some injuries but dominates the backfield and is going up against a soft front for the Bengals. This is an easy mini to play and it will probably be a bit popular.

Top Plays

These are top plays that I have not mentioned yet.

RB Derrick Henry

The Ravens are 16 point favorites…. The question I have that I can’t find a clear answer for is how they get there. They play 3 games in 11 days… you can’t workhorse Henry against the Giants for him to be a bit worn down when facing the Steelers and Texans. This is a spot where maybe Lamar runs a bit more and throws more. I just don’t know how to feel about Henry.

RB Saquon Barkley

The Steelers run defense slips up in mysterious ways and this is the best rushing attack I have seen since Adrian Peterson was running with Steve Huchinson at Guard in Minnesota.

WR Calvin Ridley

He’s going to get the ball in a ton of ways and is their path to having production in the passing game. Coming in at 17% owned though.

WR Elijah Moore

Chiefs have struggled with the slot and Moore should hold that role down this week. He’s a great play at the price.

TE Chig Okonkwo

Slot TEs have killed the Bengals all year long… This is a great spot for a pivot on the Cheap TEs.

TE Jake Ferguson

A way to get different on a chalky game that clearly steals points from the RB position. Panthers have been bad defending the in-line Tes this year.

Full Player Pool

I am changing this section up a bit and uploading the full pool below. You can search by team, player, opponent and if they aren't appearing they are not in my pool. Next week we will finally have the advanced data we need to make some more advanced plays on the slate.
