Welcome to this week’s DFS breakdown, where we dive deep into the tipping points of the slate, the best stacks, mini-stacks, and individual plays to help you build a winning lineup. The beauty of this week’s slate is the wide range of options, especially at quarterback and running back, where some high-upside players are simply mispriced. We’ll break down the main stacks that could lead to explosive results, look at some game-specific mini-stacks that could be the key to unlocking hidden value, and cover position-by-position recommendations to round out your lineup. Whether you’re all-in on a high-octane game stack or looking for those under-the-radar plays that everyone else is missing, I’ve got you covered with the analysis and insight to help you crush your GPPs.

Tipping Points

RB Aaron Jones MIN

The pricing on the slate is tough to get to the top options so it isn’t surprising to me to see that Jones is chalk at his price. He’s had the dominant work load and comes in at a $6,700 price tag. There are clear paths where Jones would under perform with the passing game of the Vikings and I love the matchup for Justin Jefferson

RB Alvin Kamara NO

Another high volume play because of the lack of talent for the Saints. Chris Olave has gone to IR, Rashid Shaheed is out for the year, and this team is awful. Another easy chalk vade with the play I have at TE in Juwan Johnson or TE Taysom Hill. Kamara is going to get the touches but I think there are a lot of RBs on the slate.

Main Stacks

I will put these in order of preference for the weekend. I have a few QBs in the pool that I like quite a bit.

QB Brock Purdy + TE George Kittle + 1 49ers WR

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' secondary is a matchup I plan to target throughout the entire season, and this game presents an excellent opportunity for Brock Purdy to throw multiple touchdowns against their defense. I've been going back and forth on which 49ers wide receiver to prioritize, as all of them have the potential to excel in this matchup.

Deebo Samuel has been dominant when Brandon Aiyuk has been unavailable, but we've also seen the emergence of Jauan Jennings, who is returning from injury. Lastly, there’s Ricky Pearsall, a cost-effective option, set to play in his third game.

My rankings for preference would be:

Deebo Samuel  Ricky Pearsall   Jauan Jennings

Ultimately, the choice will depend on how you construct your roster in other positions.

QB Russell Wilson + WR George Pickens / WR Noah Brown

The Commanders play a lot of single-high coverage, particularly Cover 1. They rely on their defensive line to generate pressure and prevent the quarterback from having time to throw. This puts Russell Wilson in a position to target George Pickens with deep passes. The Commanders have already allowed big games to notable wide receivers like Zay Flowers, Ja'Marr Chase, Mike Evans, and Malik Nabers earlier this season.

On the other hand, the Steelers have excelled at limiting the top passing option on opposing teams but have struggled to contain secondary receiving threats. Darius Slayton, Jalen Tolbert, Josh Downs, and Josh Reynolds rank among the top five in receiving yards allowed by the Steelers this season. Noah Brown has been the second best WR on the Commanders and is in for a big game.

QB Josh Allen + WR Khalil Shakir + TE Dalton Kincaid / RB Jonathan Taylor + WR Adonai Mitchell

With Keon Coleman out and Amari Cooper potentially sidelined, the Bills have a more condensed target share. This creates opportunities for Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid, while also increasing the potential for Josh Allen to contribute with his rushing ability. On the other side, the Colts' defensive line has improved significantly in recent weeks, which could help limit James Cook’s production. Given the smaller slate, a full game stack—especially for the 1 PM slate—is a viable strategy.

I absolutely love Jonathan Taylor in this matchup. The Bills have struggled against the run, particularly against gap-running schemes. While the Colts mix their blocking schemes, Flacco’s presence has leaned them more toward gap plays, which suits Taylor’s style perfectly.

With Michael Pittman Jr. out, I’m also targeting Adonai Mitchell. Mitchell has been highly effective when he’s on the field, and his affordable price point allows for flexibility in constructing lineups with other strong plays on the slate. Additionally, Ricky Pearsall is a great salary-saving option. Including him not only saves cap space but also detracts points from players like George Kittle, creating an edge in lineup differentiation.

QB Sam Darnold + WR Justin Jefferson + WR Jordan Addison

The Jaguars run man coverage at one of the highest rates in the NFL, consistently employing this strategy against every opponent. On the other side, a chalk Aaron Jones could see limited opportunities if the passing game performs well.

Jordan Addison hasn’t had an outstanding season, but this matchup presents a favorable opportunity for him. His average depth of target (aDOT) against man coverage is 16.2, highlighting his role as the team’s deep threat in these situations. Given his price tag, it wouldn’t take much for him to deliver value as part of this stack.

As for the Jaguars, their offense is currently dealing with injuries, making it difficult to recommend any key players. The only viable option I’d consider is wide receiver Parker Washington. He’s an affordable choice, plays in the slot, and could see a significant number of targets.

Mini Stacks

Falcons @ Saints

RB Bijan Robinson TE Taysom Hill

The Saints seem to have conceded this season, evident in their trade of Marshon Lattimore and the firing of their head coach. Their run defense has been among the worst in the NFL, making this a prime opportunity for Bijan Robinson. While Robinson has had a good season, he hasn’t been overused, but this matchup presents a clear advantage on the ground where the Falcons should lean on him heavily.

On the Saints' side, Taysom Hill continues to be the ultimate wildcard, functioning as RB2, TE1, FB, and potentially the primary passing option for Derek Carr. Hill's versatility and usage create a frustrating scenario for Alvin Kamara chalk weeks, as Hill often vultures valuable opportunities. This dynamic could very well be the pathway to Kamara underperforming in this game.

Top Plays

These are top plays that I have not mentioned yet.

RB Saquon Barkley

The Dallas Cowboys' run defense has been subpar this year, making this a prime opportunity for Saquon Barkley to deliver a statement performance. The Eagles are likely to dominate time of possession, control the clock, and aim to make a statement in Dallas. However, there are a few factors that could limit Barkley’s production: the Eagles' infamous "tush push" play potentially capping drives and touchdowns, and whether A.J. Brown is fully healthy and has a significant impact on the game.

RB James Conner

The Jets have struggled significantly against the run, and Hassan Reddick doesn’t do much to change that. While he’s an excellent pass rusher, he’s not a strong run defender. James Conner is a great pivot off of Aaron Jones this week and is flying under the radar. With his workload and the matchup, Conner offers strong potential at lower ownership.

WR Ladd McConkey

The Chargers have been leaning heavily on the passing game recently, and Ladd McConkey has been outstanding. McConkey leads the team in target share against zone coverage and consistently establishes a rhythm with Justin Herbert each week. His reliability and production make him a standout option in this offense.

WR DeAndre Hopkins

He plays the Rashee Rice role offensively and is the safest option on this slate. I anticipate that he and Xavier Worthy will likely switch price points on next week's slate and in future slates, reflecting their growing roles and value.

TE Will Dissly

My favorite punt tight end option on this week's slate is Will Dissly. He’s been on the field consistently and gets a decent share of targets from Justin Herbert. His involvement in the offense, combined with his low price, makes him a strong value play for the slate.

TE Hunter Henry

Another punt play at tight end that makes a lot of sense is Hunter Henry. A rookie quarterback’s best friend is often the tight end, providing a reliable and accessible target in the passing game. At just $3,900, Henry doesn’t need to do much to pay off his price, making him a solid value option in this slate.

Full Player Pool

I am changing this section up a bit and uploading the full pool below. You can search by team, player, opponent and if they aren't appearing they are not in my pool. Next week we will finally have the advanced data we need to make some more advanced plays on the slate.
