Welcome to the WK7 Fantasy Football Linebacker Rankings NFC IDP Start/Sit Cheat Sheet Charts presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.

Individual Defensive Players

Needing to split those IDP hairs between two or more players with the same color code? Besides our great Player Ratings located in the main menu, our Oddsmakers IDP tactical tools were originally intended to do just that. And they are located on our The IDP Tipster member page or perhaps even on our main article page.

Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!

Week 7 / NFC Inside Linebackers

NFC North

Bears Inside Linebackers

Roquan Smith
3.5/5
Danny Trevathan
3/5
Joel Iyiegbuniwe
0.5/5
Josh Woods
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Stable and Trevathan has leveled out to about 80% of the snaps per game the last couple of contests. We’ll go as marked with each player’s upside maxed out to get them there. On-paper we would prefer better results to mark them this high. But they are getting above par per matchup and there is no reason not to assume that’ll be the case versus the Rams.

Lions Inside Linebackers

Jamie Collins
3/5
Christian Jones
1/5
Reggie Ragland
1/5
Jahiani Tavai
1/5
Jarrad Davis
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: We are still only targeting Collins this week versus the Falcons. The others are still all over the place in a timeshare and who consistently produces, or the lack of. Collins may have some upside that we can’t add in that the Falcons bring to the table this contest.

Packers Inside Linebackers

Ty Summers
3/5
Krys Barnes (?)
2/5
Kamal Martin (IR/?)
0/5
Oren Burks
0.5/5
Christian Kirksey (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Kirksey could have been activated from the I.R. this week according to some older reports. At the moment that doesn’t look like it’ll happen. Barnes, who I mentioned when referring to Summers before week 5 and 6, did indeed flip the script and play Kirksey’s position over Summers.

Barnes called the plays and had 88% of the snaps and Summers fell to just 34% after playing 74% (before week 5 bye) in week 4 and calling the plays. At the moment Barnes has a shoulder and calf injury that has him limited in practice. One has to assume that Barnes can go Sunday and would likely have the same role as he did this past contest. With Kirksey lingering on a return, owners may want to consider skipping this contest if they can and think ahead. It’s just a thought for those deeper formats out there. As it looks, Kirksey will likely get his starting every-down role back and Barnes will keep a nice part of his snaps he has earned for the rest of the season.

I tried to warn owners picking up Summers, he misses tackles and isn’t good in coverage at all. Allowing 12 of 12 when targeting this year and missing tackles at the worst times. As for Barnes and why I said I preferred him over Summers, he has only missed two tackles this far, and his “when targeted” pass coverage stands at 80%. But hey, those that had Summers in their lineups in week 4 got paid. Hopefully, they just didn’t have him in week 6 as I warned about having to refund those winnings.

As for Kirksey “for sure” getting his gig bag when he does return. He also has only missed two tackles this season and his targeted rate is 90%. The deal-breaker that likely does secure him getting it back is he was paid to start there as a veteran, and Barnes is an undrafted rookie.

We are marking it like Barnes can go versus the Texans, if he can’ go it’s Summers again unless the Packers decide to go with Burks or Burgess.

Vikings Inside Linebackers

Eric Kendricks
0/5
Eric Wilson
0/5
Todd Davis
0/5
Hardy Nickerson
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Bye Week.

NFC south

Falcons Inside Linebackers

Foyesade Oluokun
3/5
Deion Jones
3/5
Mykal Walker
2/5
LaRoy Reynolds
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Stable, and as it’s marked via the on-paper five-step results versus the Lions.

Panthers Inside Linebackers

Jeremy Chinn - S/LB
4.5/5
Shaq Thompson
3/5
Tahir Whitehead
2.5/5
Jermaine Carter
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Stable and as marked versus the on-paper results versus the Saints. Whitehead would be risky, but it’s strong enough that he should get enough to keep from taking a 0 in the box score.

Saints Inside Linebackers

Demario Davis
4/5
Alex Anzalone
2.5/5
Kiko Alonso (?)
0/5
Zack Baun
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: First, Kiko is trending to return soon. It’s doubtful it’ll be this week, but he is at practice now. As for Davis, this is a really solid matchup versus the panthers, and just solid enough that we could reach for Anzalone as a bye-week play. One we could have considered in our waiver wire article this week.

Buccaneers Inside Linebackers

Lavonte David
2.5/5
Devin White
2.5/5
Kevin Minter
0.5/5
Jack Cichy (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Stable and these two will likely do exactly what they did last contest and outperform the on-paper results. But when the Raiders have continually allowed the least amount of production to the ILBs, there is only so much upside we can add to any player. Not alone to two studs standing next to each other on the field.

NFC East

Cowboys Inside Linebackers

Jaylon Smith
5/5
Leighton Vander Esch
3/5
Joe Thomas
2/5
Sean Lee (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Vander did return last contest and played about 55% of the snaps with Thoma getting the remaining 35%. He didn’t light the world on fire but that can be respected after being out for a few weeks. Assuming he’ll take on more this week and now has his feet wet again we’ll give him the benefit of doubt in a strong contest versus Washington. Who just happens to sit in the top three allowing production to the ILBs. If we own him we have to get him in there because his ceiling could be way higher than the solid we marked.

Giants Inside Linebackers

Blake Martinez
0/5
David Mayo
0/5
Devante Downs
0/5
Tae Crowder (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: See Thursday game edition charts.

Eagles Inside Linebackers

Nathan Gerry
0/5
Duke Riley
0/5
Alex Singleton
0/5
T.J. Edwards (IR)
0/5
Davion Taylor
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: See Thursday game edition charts.

Washington’s Inside Linebackers

Jon Bostic
4.5/5
Kevin Pierre-Louis (?)
3/5
Cole Holcomb
2/5
Shaun Dion Hamilton
1/5
Thomas Davis
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Your welcome Holcomb fans 🙂 I remove his name from the list and he all of a sudden is activated and relevant to a point. He received 65% of the snaps (third in line) and recorded some nice tackles. He did lack as he did last year in coverage, but as the SLB he did well in the box score. Now, do we trust it? That’s up to the owners because if you ask this writer it is likely the extent of his future this season unless something happens to Bostic.

Pierre-Louis is practicing so should be a go this contest. It’s a really solid matchup versus the Cowboys on paper. And we’ve marked them as such and based on the snaps received last week.

NFC West

Cardinals Inside Linebackers

De'Vondre Campbell
3/5
Jordan Hicks
3/5
Isaiah Simmons
2/5
Tanner Vallejo
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Reports from the Cardinals camp is that the rookie Simmons will start playing more. He played 245 while Campell dropped to 81% and Hicks stuck at 97%. So, with that said, the Seahawks aren’t that kind to the ILBs on paper as one would like to see. We’ll mark them as the result on-paper are as well as their consistency upside.

And it might be a gamble for Campell or even hicks owners, but let’s see just how much more Simmons gets in this divisional game. We don’t think it will be as much as one might think this time around. But Campell owners wouldn’t be crazy to look at other options either if they got them.

Rams Inside Linebackers

Micah Kiser (?)
3/5
Kenny Young
1.5/5
Troy Reeder
1/5
Justin Hollins
0.5/5

Advice/Note: Kiser returned last week and resumed his every-down role and only ILB getting near it. His role alone in the defense got him marked as he is. His ceiling won’t be as high, but he’ll still produce enough against the bears to get it done.

49ers Inside Linebackers

Fred Warner
3.5/5
Kwon Alexander (?)
3/5
Dre Greenlaw
1/5
Azeez Al-Shaair
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Alexander has a high ankle sprain and those are tough to bounce back from right away. Greenlaw will be in play again if he can’t go versus the Patriots. Just move Alexander’s marks down to Greenlaw when it happens.

Seahawks Inside Linebackers

Bobby Wagner
3.5/5
K.J. Wright (?)
3/5
Jordyn Brooks (?)
1.5/5
Cody Barton
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: On paper versus the Cardinals most ILb squads wouldn’t get marked as high as these two guys. But when your this consistent and been doing it this long that upside maxes out the on-paper results.
