Week 3 / DEN. Vs. NYJ.

 Broncos Inside Linebackers

Alexander Johnson
2.5/5
Josey Jewell
2.5/5
Joe Jones
1/5
Mark Barron (IR)
0/5

Advice/Note: This ILB unit has been wiped out by injuries. Jewel and Johnson versus the Jets on paper are “just” solid, but one will likely tip that scale and have an above-average contest. Depending on how deep the owner’s benches are will determined if they should go here.

 Broncos Safeties

Justin Simmons
3/5
Kareem Jackson
2.5/5
Trey Marshall
1/5
P.J. Locke
0.5/5

Advice/Note: We’ll say “just” solid and note that Simmons should be slightly more so. Keep in mind, this Jets team is struggling on offense, and that limits the opportunities for volume IDP production. So any upside to these is likely coming in the form of an interception or something other than base tackles.

 Broncos Interior D-Lineman

Shelby Harris
3/5
Mike Purcell
2.5/5
DeShawn Williams
1/5
McTelvin Agim
0.5/5
Jurrell Casey (IR)
0/5

Advice/Note: Another unit of Denvers that has been riddled with injuries. Harris is our main target in a very solid matchup on paper with Casey hitting the I.R.

 Broncos Edge Rushers

Bradley Chubb
3/5
Jeremiah Attaochu (?)
2.5/5
Anthony Chickillo
2/5
Malik Reed
1.5/5

Advice/Note: If Chubb is going to make a mark it’ll be this contest. On paper, this is a very solid matchup. Enough so that if it wasn’t for Chubb’s lack of big plays and Attaochu questionable, but trending up, we would have added another complete mark to this unit. Also to note, Chickillo crept up in snap counts last contest. And it’s unclear if that will remain the trend or not. Either way, for Chubb owners this is a do or die situation and one they’ll want him in for because the ceiling is high.

VS.

Jets Inside Linebackers

Avery Williamson (?)
4/5
Neville Hewitt
3.5/5
Alec Ogletee
0.5/5
Patrich Onwuarsor (IR)
0/5
Blake Cashman (IR)
0/5

Advice/Note: Another squad took down my injuries, Williamson finally saw a large number of snaps last contest. On paper, this is a really strong matchup, as long as they stick to the script of week three. So owners have to know this is risk versus reward play, but one that’s going to be really hard to pass up.

Jets Safeties

Marcus Maye
3.5/5
Bradley McDougald
3.5/5
Ashtyn Davis
1/5
Matthias Farley
0.5/5

Advice/Note: Other than noting that Maye needs to clean up his missed tackles, we’ll roll with the on-paper results versus the Broncos.

Jets Interior D-Lineman

Quinnen Williams
2.5/5
Henry Anderson
1.5/5
Steve McLendon
1/5
Folorunso Fatukasi
0.5/5

Advice/Note: And WOW! Williams broke out big last week versus the Colts, and we mean big. He had something like seven tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble against a tough normally stout 49ers team. You might have heard about the contest, the one that the 49ers were devasted with injuries across the board? Yep, that one and Williams thrived in it. Now we would just like to see it again, even 1/2 of that versus the Colts in week three. We need consistency and a little less rotation would be nice too.

Jets Edge Rushers

Jordan Jenkins (?)
2/5
Tarell Basham
1.5/5
Kyle Phillips
1/5
Jordan Willis
0.5/5

Advice/Note: Not the time to get cute about it, the Broncos just aren’t that friendly to the edge position.
