Welcome to the Fantasy Football Linebacker WK7 AFC Rankings IDP Start/Sit Charts presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.

Individual Defensive Players

Fantasy Football Linebacker WK7 Start/Sit

Needing to split those IDP hairs between two or more players with the same color code? Besides our great Player Ratings located in the main menu, our Oddsmakers IDP tactical tools were originally intended to do just that. And they are located on our The IDP Tipster member page or perhaps even on our main article page.

Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!

NOTICE – Chart Key Marking Fine-Tuning Update

This was not applied to all the charts yet but will be by WK6. We are using a new STAR method this year that needed a better user-friendly feel.

Avoid Weak
1/5
Barley Solid
2/5
Firm Solid
3/5
Really Solid
4/5
Firm Strong
5/5

Questionable (?)  –  Out (O)

Doubtful  –  (D)  –  Injuried Reserve (IR)

Week 6 / AFC Inside Linebackers

AFC NORTH

 Ravens Inside Linebackers

Patrick Queen
3/5
L.J. Fort (?)
1/5
Malik Harrison
1/5
Chris Board
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Queen has no doubt arrived. He has now established himself as a solid option as any ILB this year. And versus the Eagles this week he’ll remain a solid play and will carry some upside.

Bengals Inside Linebackers

Josh Bynes
2.5/5
Germaine Pratt
2.5/5
Logan Wilson
2.5/5
Akeen Davis-Gaithers
2/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Slowly but surely this group has developed into a pretty even timeshare since Wilson has returned a couple of weeks ago. Gaither brought up the rear last contest with about 45% of the snaps, and the rest were in the ’50s. That really reflects a lot in our on-paper results versus the Browns this week when Cleveland is in the top third in allowing production to the ILBs. It’s basically like which lottery ticket do you buy type scenario.

 Browns Inside Linebackers

B.J. Goodson
3.5/5
Malcolm Smith
2/5
Sione Takitaki
2/5
Mack Wilson
2/5
Jacob Phillips (Q)
2/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Other than Goodson, same thing as their opponent this week, it’s a timeshare. Smith did perform last week, but can we trust just 50% of the snaps as Wilson gained a bit and hit about 50% as well. And Phillips didn’t play and had been working back in the rotation in week 5. It’s a mess, so if you are going here the only one we can really try to trust is Goodson who received 88% of the snaps in week 6 and 84% in 5. Our thoughts are that later on around the fantasy football playoffs if the Browns are not in contention, this all breaks at the worse possible time.

And we could have actually went four full stars on Goodson versus the Bengals. But he is just within the limit of maintaining a full-time gig and the fear that could change at any point just isn’t helping matters.

Steelers Inside Linebackers

Vince Williams
2.5/5
Robert Spillane
2.5/5
Ulysses Gilbert
0.5/5
Devin Bush (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Bush went down with a torn ACL. The next man up is Spillane and we should expect a little more effort out of Williams. But for this contest versus the Titans, we’ll only give them what the on-paper results are. And one would think that the Titans run game would offer more to the ILBs, but frankly, they’ve been airing the ball out nicely and this contest is forecast to be a tough one on the ground.

Either or both of these two starters could outperform, it will all depend on the game flow and that is upside we just can’t add in yet.

AFC south

Texans Inside Linebackers

Zach Cunningham
3/5
Tyrell Adams
3/5
Dylan Cole
1/5
Benardrick McKinney (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: This will be a tough one on-paper for Cunningham and Adams to produce in versus the Packers. But there is no reason to think that they won’t be solid enough to get what’s there. We do still have our eyes on Cole, who could start working himself into playing time. But for now, we’ve seen enough of Adams on film to figure he is secure enough to roll with this contest.

Colts Inside Linebackers

Darius Leonard (?)
0/5
Bobby Okereke
0/5
Anthony Walker
0/5
E.J. Speed
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Bye Week.

 Jaquars Inside Linebackers

Myles Jack (?)
3.5/5
Joe Schobert
3.5/5
Dakota Allen (?)
1/5
Quincy Williams
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Jack was back and then went out again with the same ankle injury that kept him from playing in week 5. In that contest, it was Allen who played in his place and did well via the position in the IDP box score. But now he has a foot injury and is questionable as well. So by nothing more than the few snaps he recorded when all this happened last contest, Williams may be in play this week.

We’ve gone over all available reports at this time, and we have nothing to confirm anything. So versus the Chargers, we are marking the normal starters as the on-paper results indicate we should. And IDP owners may want to keep a close eye on the situation for this week’s contest via the injury reports.

Titans Inside Linebackers

Jayon Brown
3/5
Rashaan Evans
3/5
Will Compton
1/5
David Long
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Versus the Steelers this week we’ll roll with the on-paper results.  Game flow may decide who outperforms who in this contest between the two ILBs. But it’s highly unlikely either outperform the matchup itself on paper.

AFC East

 Bills Inside Linebackers

Tremaine Edmunds
4/5
Matt Milano (?)
4/5
A.J. Klein
2/5
Tyrel Dodson (?)
1/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: It looks like that with Milano (hammy) and Dodson (hammy) both out or hurting, Klien got the larger role next to Edmunds last week. Milano returned to practice and was limited. Dodson did not practice. And we’ll mark this as Milano will play and how things were stacking up on-paper before he started missing contests. Considering the situation and the contest versus the Jets, keeping Klien on speed dial might be a good idea via the injury reports.

Dolphins Inside Linebackers

Jerome Baker
0/5
Elandon Roberts
0/5
Kamu Grugier-Hill
0/5
Calvin Munson
5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Bye Week.

 Patriots Inside Linebackers

Ja'Whaun Bentley
3.5/5
Cassh Maluia
1/5
Anfernee Jennings
1/5
Josh Uche (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: We mentioned Bently as a viable bye-week play versus the Broncos last week and he produced well with his best contest of the season. And we are leaving him exactly right where he was last week versus the 49ers this week. Don’t get too excited, after this contest he has a forecasted 1 of 3 matchups we might look his way again.

Jets Inside Linebackers

Avery Williamson
3/5
Neville Hewitt
3/5
Patrich Onwuarsor (IR)
0/5
Blake Cashman (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Finally, or we think, the Jets have used Williamson two games in a row with 90% plus playing time. Assuming that’ll be the case this week we have marked them as the on-paper results indicate. Just understand that the Bills don’t allow as much on paper as the marks are. But it’s the fact that the D-line and OLBs in front of them are so “just” average that we added the upside. If we hadn’t, the two ILBs would have only been “barely” solid to just within “just” solid.

AFC west

 Broncos Inside Linebackers

Alexander Johnson
2.5/5
Josey Jewell
2/5
Joe Jones
1/5
Nigel Bradham
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Not only do we have a couple of red-flags on Jewell, but the contest versus the Chiefs is weaker than we would like to see. One red flag was that Jewell dropped to about 85% of the snaps last contest after the Broncos week 5 bye. The other is they have recently signed Bradham to the practice squad, as we mentioned last week. And we still don’t know what their plan is for him. It’s just something to keep in mind because Jewell is not exactly lighting the word on fire unless the matchup is perfect.

As for Johnson, he only got his mark because he is still 100% full-time because he has shown consistency overall this season to produce.

Chiefs Inside Linebackers

Anthoney Hitchens
2.5/5
Damien Wilson
2.5/5
Willie Gay
1.5/5
Ben Niemann
1/5
Dorian O'Daniel
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: We are simply tired of quoting the terrible snap counts here for all the players. If you are needing to go here we have marked them way lower than the matchup on paper. And we wish you luck on how out-performs the other in this really strong contest.

Chargers Inside Linebackers

Kyzir White
4.5/5
Kenneth Murry
4.5/5
Denzel Perryman
2/5
Drue Tranquill (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Coming out of their bye-week and assuming nothing has changed we have marked them as the on-paper matchup indicates versus the Jaguars.

Raiders Inside Linebackers

Cory Littleton
3/5
Nick Kwiatkoski
3/5
Nicholas Morrow
1/5
Raekwon McMillan
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Assuming Kwiatkoski (pec) is completely ready to go after a slow start in his return, not to mention barely solid matchups, he’ll get a little more this time around versus the Buccaneers. Game flow will determine who well each one does, or doesn’t do this contest.
