Welcome to the Thursday Game Edition Fantasy Football IDP Ranking WK1 Start/Sit Charts presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.

Needing to split those IDP hairs between two or more players with the same color code? Besides our great Player Ratings located in the main menu, our Oddsmakers IDP tactical tools were originally intended to do just that. And they are located on our The IDP Tipster member page or perhaps even on our main article page.

Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!

Week 1 / Hou. Vs. K.C.

All the charts are only available for free for the first three weeks of the season. We hope you consider joining the G.R. family.

Texans Inside Linebackers

Zach Cunningham
3.5/5
Benardrick McKinney
3/5
Dylan Cole
0.5/5
Tyrell Adams
0.5/5

Advice/Note: The Cheifs ended last season ranked almost rock bottom in allowing points to the ILBs. But considering the snap counts and other information on hand, the players should remain relevant enough to hit their designated marks.

Texans Safeties

Justin Reid
3/5
Michael Thomas
1.5/5
Eric Murray
1.5/5
A.J. Moore
1.5/5

Advise/Note: The Texans are looking for a new starting free safety this season. And as we can see here directly from the Texans D.C. Anthony Weaver (HERE) it sounds like Thomas has an advantage for the spot. But there have been reported positives on all three Thomas, Murray, and Moore at some point or time. At this point, our safe bet is to watch this play out over the first few weeks.

Texans Defensive Lineman

J.J. Watt
3/5
Charles Omenihu
1.5/5
Brandon Dunn
1.5/5

Advise/Note:  This matchup on paper isn’t exactly in favor of the interior defensive lineman versus the Super Bowl Champs. But Watt is fresh and we have to expect that he’ll get his considering the situation.

Texans Edge Rushers

Whitney Mercilus
2.5/5
Brennan Scarlett
1.5/5

Advise/Note: These two are going to have a hard time overachieving in this matchup. Neither are elite Edge Rushers so it’ll likely take the perfect situation for either to impress to the point we should consider them versus the Chiefs on paper.

VS.

Chiefs Inside Linebackers

Anthoney Hitchens
2/5
Willie Gay
2/5
Damien Wilson
2/5
Ben Niemann
0.5/5

Advice/Note: It is true that someone has to produce. But unfortunately, it is also true that Andy Reid has a history with the Chiefs of keeping us guessing on who he’ll rely on at the ILB position week to week. On paper the matchup is solid enough for the ILBs, in theory, it isn’t even close.

Chiefs Saefties

Tyrann Mathieu
5/5
Juan Thornhill
1.5/5
Daniel Sorensen
1.5/5
L'Jarius Sneed
0.5/5

Advice/Note: Just another one of those Andy Reid situations when it comes to Thornhill and Sorenson. We simple need to wait and see if either seperates themselves in playing time after an odd time share last season.

Chiefs Defensive Lineman

Chris Jones
3.5/5
Frank Clark
4.5/5
Alex Okafor (Q)
2/5
Derrick Nnadi
1.5/5
Mike Pennel (O)
0/5

Advice/Note: Clark and Jones should have quality days in terms of IDP production unless all of a sudden the Texans offensive line got better. And hopefully no one is in a position to need and reach for Okafor or Nnadi at this point

Chiefs Edge Rushers

Frank Clark
4.5/5
Alex Okafor (Q)
2/5
Tanoh Kpassagnon
1/5

Advice/Note: If this was a bye-week situation Kpassagon may have been on the radar as a deep play with Okaor questionable. But as it sits for now he isn’t and likly shouldn’t be reached for in any case at this time.
