Kharie Willis Retires June 15th, 2022: Translation… The Colts Rookie Strong Safety Nick Cross Is All Stock Up

Dime Dropped

Cross is a highly  toted rookie talent that utimitlay would have surfaced in Dynasty leagues as a solid DB1 option. But landing in Indianapolis didn’t do IDP managers any favors. On roster at the time, Khari Willis was profiled as the starter again heading into the season. It’s sad to see him leave. But! Anyone that’s drafted Cross early than the news of Willis retiring. It’s a huge win as Cross stock just got pricier in rookie, dynasty, and now deep redrafts. Projecting how valuable he’ll be in fantasy football may be a “catch 22” this early for this ceiling. This writer will go with a high DB2 ceiling and likely a great plug and play in standard formats. He’s not exactly stepping into a role they need him to overproduce. And as long as that front seven with Darious Lenard and Bobbby Okereke is in place, there’s only so much IDP meat on the bone. Dynasty wise. Nick Cross shoots up the board big time now that there’s a clearer path for Cross. So at this point if you are looking at rookie DB rankings. And Cross isn’t top three somewhere. Those rankings likely haven’t been updated yet.
