The WK1 Fantasy Football Rankings Defensive Lineman IDP Start/Sits cheat sheet charts contain all the interior defensive lineman in both NFL defensive schemes.
If you are looking for names like Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, or Danielle Hunter…
Those are defensive ends in the NFL’s 4-3 defensive scheme and are now located with the 3-4 schemed Outside Linebackers in the new Edge Rusher charts. So if you do not see your players name, and unsure as to why. They likely can be found there, where we apply an even deeper formula to get these weekly start/sits right for IDP sack-heavy formats.
Week 2 / NFC Interior D-Lineman
All the charts are only available for free for the first three weeks of the season. We hope you consider joining the G.R. family.
The User of any chart must read the notes or they are setting themselves up to make a mistake and do their own due diligence on injuries and such.
Attention, Please! As mentioned in the examples real in-depth Advice/Notes are an option when they are needed. And considering that the Edge Rushers opposition in the NFL, for the most part, is stable, users will start noticing that those notes and such will start diminishing as we go.
NFC North
Bears Interior D-Lineman
Akiem Hicks
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Bilal Nichols
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Roy Robertson-Harris
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Eddie Goldman (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Advice/Note: Hicks proved the old guy has something left in the tank week one versus the Lions. And he is our only target on paper versus the Giants in week two.
Lions Interior D-Lineman
Da’Shawn Hand
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Danny Shelton
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Nick Williams (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Damon Harrison Sr.
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Advice/Note: All things are coming up solid versus the Bears for this group. Someone might actually overperform in the process. This squad underachieved in week one and it’s not looking any better on paper for them versus the Packers in week two.
Packers Interior D-Lineman
Kenny Clark (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Dean Lowry
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Tyler Lancaster
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Montravius Adams (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Advice/Note: With Clark going down in week one and out for week two versus the Lions, there isn’t enough IDP meat on the bones for the rest of this squad to warrant going here on paper this week.
Vikings Interior D-Lineman
Armon Watts
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Michael Pierce (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Jaleel Johnson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Jaylin Holms
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Shamar Stephen
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Advice/Note: The amount of rotation week one was just too vast to suggest that anyone would overachieve versus a Colts OL that held the Jags in check so well. On paper, this comes out as an avoid and we’ll monitor who begins to get the major playing time down the road if any do. This just might have been a situation that the vikes treated like a normal preseason contest in week one to evaluate their players.
NFC south
Falcons Interior D-Lineman
Grady Jarrett
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Allen Bailey
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Tyeler Davison
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Marlon Davidson (D)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Advice/Note: It’s going to be tough, but Jarrett will likely get enough and always carries his own upside on paper. And against the Cowboys who showed some surprising production to the Ram’s interior last contest, is something that can’t be ignored when it comes down to inserting Jarrett.
Panthers Interior D-Lineman
Kawann Short (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Derrick Brown
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Zach Kerr
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Bravvion Roy
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Advice/Note: Brown’s week one performance carries some weight in upside in his designation. What his owners need to keep in mind is that the Bucs shut out the Saints interior D-Lineman in week one. So if you’re going here, there is some real risk to if the rookie can get it done.
Saints Interior D-Lineman
Sheldon Rankins
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
David Onyemata
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Malcom Brown
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Margus Hunt
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Advice/Note: This unit either really let us down in week one versus the Bucs, or the Bucs OLs really secured the interior line to protect Tom Brady. Either way, they will have to prove themselves as this sorts itself out and IDP owners have to keep that in mind on paper versus the Raiders.
Buccaneers Interior D-Lineman
Ndamukong Suh
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Vita Vea
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
William Gholston
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Rakeem Nunez-Roches
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Advice/Note: Everyone was shut down last week except for Gholston versus the Saints. And with just 50% of the snaps and his lackluster history, one has to wonder if it was because he was considered the weak link to go at by the Saints. With that being said on paper this week these guys should do better as a unit, but trust issues early one just hampers the on-paper results.
NFC East
Cowboys Interior D-Lineman
Gerald McCoy (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Tyrone Crawford
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Antwaun Woods
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Dontari Poe
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Advice/Notes: With it being the Aldon Smith show in week one off the edge, this group just filled some running lanes here and there. So we factor this in with the results on paper, it’s better to just watch instead of inserting any of them for week two versus the Falcons.
Giants Interior D-Lineman
Leonard Williams
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Dalvin Tomlinson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Dexter Lawrence
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
B.J. Hill
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Advice/Note: As we mentioned last week that this group would likely succeed versus the Steelers, and they did. We’re going to the opposite end versus the Bears in week two. On paper, this group always just gets what’s there “by the formula” results are. So we’ll trust again with them heading to Chicago. And who knows, maybe things have changed somehow and they’ll beat the odds of history.
Eagles Interior D-Lineman
Fletcher Cox
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Javon Hargrave (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Malik Jackson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Hassan Ridgeway
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Advice/Note: Unfortunately, in rotation, the production in week one was spread out among this group. And with the also Rams holding off the Cowboys interior pretty well week, it doesn’t look so solid this week for IDP owners to go here. So we’re just going to post the results as they are and let owners decide.
Washington’s Interior D-Lineman
Jonathan Allen
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Matt Ioannidis
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Daron Payne
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Tim Settle
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Advice/Note: Unlike the very young Washington edge rushers, this interior D-Line has proven talent on it. Our problem other than the formula results for week two versus the Cardinals is the snap counts. The rotation between Allen and Ioannidis was darn near 50-50. And since the cardinals OLs are in way better shape than the Eagles, we’re tempering expectations for this contest. That just means on paper in the end, this is “just solid” with no real upside this time around.
NFC West
Cardinals Interior D-Lineman
Zach Allen
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Corey Peters
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Jordan Phillips
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Angelo Blackson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Advice/Note: We mentioned the gut to watch week one was Zack Allen and it ends up him and Blackson did produce in a tough contest. But in a perfect world, we would like to see more than 50% of the snaps on an interior lineman. And the only guy who got that was Petters, who did very little versus a tough 49ers OL. So heading into week two and with them playing Washington, who gifted production to the Eagles interiors and edge, we might not get a great read on Allen this week either.
Rams Interior D-Lineman
Aaron Donald
☆☆☆☆☆ 4.5/5
Michael Brockers
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Sebastian Joseph-Day
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
A’Shawn Robinson (O)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Advice/Note: Deploy at will versus the Eagles, that was simple enough.
49ers Interior D-Lineman
Javon Kinlaw
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
D.J. Jones
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Solomon Thomas
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Kentavius Street
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
Advice/Note: Another one of those “too even” of a rotation situation is hampering the on-paper results versus the Jets in week two. But considering the Jets production to the interior lineman, someone will get it done, just a matter of picking out who for owners.
Seahawks Interior D-Lineman
Jarran Reed
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Poona Ford
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
L.J. Coller
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Damontre’ Moore
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Advice/Note: Because Reed was the only guy with real full-time snaps at 85% in week one, he is our focus for week two versus the Patriots that just kept running the ball over and over in their first contest.
