Welcome to the Fantasy Football Safety WK10 AFC Rankings IDP Start/Sit Cheat Sheet Charts presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.

Needing to split those IDP hairs between two or more players with the same color code? Besides our great Player Ratings located in the main menu, our Oddsmakers IDP tactical tools were originally intended to do just that. And they are located on our The IDP Tipster member page or perhaps even on our main article page.
Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!

Week 10 / AFC Safeties
NOTICE – Chart Key Marking Fine-Tuning Update
This was not applied to all the charts yet but will be by WK6. We are using a new STAR method this year that needed a better user-friendly feel.
Avoid Weak
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Barley Solid
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Firm Solid
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Really Solid
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Firm Strong
☆☆☆☆☆ 5/5
Questionable (?) – Out (O)
Doubtful – (D) – Injuried Reserve (IR)
AFC NORTH
Ravens Safeties
Chuck Clark
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
DeShon Elliott
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Anthony Levine Sr.
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Geno Stone
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: It doesn’t get much better than this versus the Patriots, on paper. And as for Clark, that is looking at it from in the box like a LB (that he plays a lot in), to our normal safety results.
Bengals Safeties
Jessie Bates
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Von Bell
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Shawn Williams
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Brandon Wilson (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As normal, barring no changes coming out of the bye week, these guys are as marked. And each has more upside that we could have tried to add. There simply wasn’t enough room without distorting the formula.
Browns Safeties
Andrew Sendejo
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Ronnie Harrison Jr.
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Karl Joseph
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Sheldrick Redwine
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: It’s now safe to say that heading into the bye week Harrison has taken over the starting strong safety position. So unless something drastic accrued over the week off, they are as marked versus the Texans.
Steelers Safeties
Terrell Edmunds
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Minkah Fitzpatrick
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Sean Davis
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Jordan Dangerfield
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Bengals. Just keep in mind that Fitzpatrick normally needs to make an impact play to hit par.
AFC south
Texans Safeties
Justin Reid
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Eric Murray
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Michael Thomas
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Browns.
Colts Safeties
Khari Willis
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Julian Blackmon
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Tavon Wilson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
George Odum
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Played Thursday.
Jaquars Safeties
Jarrod Wilson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Josh Jones (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Daniel Thomas
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Brandon Watson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: We have a HUGE RED FLAG for Jones owners. Because although he has been IDP productive, it doesn’t mean his job is secure. He lost snaps to the rookie Thomas last week and reported that could be the case coming out of the bye. We suggest, after looking into it, that at the least we are looking at some form of a timeshare. And the whole scenario needs to be avoided until we get a clear picture of the situation.
As for Wilson, on paper, he barely hit “just” solid versus the Packers.
Titans Safeties
Kenny Vaccaro
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Kevin Byard
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Amani Hooker
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Joshua Kalu
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Played Thursday.
AFC East
Bills Safeties
Jordan Poyer
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Micah Hyde (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Dean Marlowe
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
Jaquan Johnson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked on paper versus the Cardinals.
Dolphins Safeties
Bobby McCain
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Eric Rowe
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Brandon Jones
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Reshad Jones (Q)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Chargers this week. And adding that the Chargers, not the players, bring upside we haven’t added on the marks.
Patriots Safeties
Adrian Phillips
☆☆☆☆☆ 3.5/5
Devin McCourty
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Kyle Dugger (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 2/5
Terrence Brooks
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Ravens. And adding that both have upside this contest that we’ve added in.
Jets Safeties
Marcus Maye
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Ashtyn Davis
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Matthias Farley
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Bradley McDougald (IR)
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Bye Week.
AFC west
Broncos Safeties
Justin Simmons
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Kareem Jackson
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Trey Marshall
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
P.J. Locke
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Stable and as marked versus the Raiders.
Chiefs Safeties
Tyrann Mathieu
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Daniel Sorensen
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Juan Thornhill
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
Tedric Thompson
☆☆☆☆☆ 0/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Bye Week.
Chargers Safeties
Nasir Adderley
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Rayshawn Jenkins
☆☆☆☆☆ 2.5/5
Alohi Gilman
☆☆☆☆☆ 1/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked on paper versus the Dolphins. And adding, on paper it’s “barely” solid. But there could be some hidden upside considering the change with Miami at the QB position. It’s a fluid situation and we just can’t plan on it being the trend.
Raiders Safeties
Johnathan Abram (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 4/5
Erik Harris
☆☆☆☆☆ 3/5
Jeff Heath (?)
☆☆☆☆☆ 1.5/5
Dallin Leavitt
☆☆☆☆☆ 0.5/5
See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Broncos. And adding that we have upside but did not add based on the player’s consistency all year. So it’s a risk versus reward with a strong ceiling at stake. And it was that doubt with consistency that kept them out of our waiver wire article this week.
