Welcome to the Fantasy Football Ranking WK13 Safety IDP AFC Start/Sit Chart Cheat Sheets presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.

NOTICE – Chart Key Marking Fine-Tuning Update

This was not applied to all the charts yet but will be by WK6. We are using a new STAR method this year that needed a better user-friendly feel.

Avoid Weak
1/5
Barley Solid
2/5
Firm Solid
3/5
Really Solid
4/5
Firm Strong
5/5

Questionable (?)  –  Out (O)

Doubtful  –  (D)  –  Injuried Reserve (IR)

Fantasy Football Ranking WK13

AFC NORTH

 Ravens Safeties

Chuck Clark (?)
3.5/5
DeShon Elliott
3/5
Anthony Levine Sr.
2/5
Geno Stone (O/C)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Cowboys. And it is unclear if Levine indeed would be the guy is Clark is out. So at this point, we suggest looking elsewhere if he is. Clark has been an ironman in terms of playing time, so with no “reports” from the organization on his injury that we can see, we’re playing it safe. And at the same time with no red flags about the injury, we expect Clark to be fine for the contest.

Bengals Safeties

Jessie Bates
3/5
Von Bell
3/5
Brandon Wilson (?)
1/5
Shawn Williams
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Dolphins and adding that the Dolphins game script will determine if it is their ceilings or floor marks. Also going to note that Wilson looks like he has passed a long time (in the past) starter Williams as the third option. And don’t let Wilson’s padded box score fool you from last week. He only had three base tackles and padded the score with a touchdown somehow, but he did it with only 16% of the snaps.

 Browns Safeties

Andrew Sendejo
2.5/5
Karl Joseph
2/5
Sheldrick Redwine
1/5
Ronnie Harrison Jr. (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Titans. And adding that it is too bad we lost Harrison to the I.R. because Joseph playing the SS just isn’t nearly as valuable for IDP owners with Harrison not there. And to be honest, we wouldn’t be shocked to see someone else get their shot there, or the Browns adjust with their linebackers somehow. Joseph just isn’t all that good, to be honest. And for that reason, don’t be surprised either when Senedejo overachieves as Joseph misses opportunities and they slip to him.

Steelers Safeties

Terrell Edmunds
2.5/5
Minkah Fitzpatrick
2.5/5
Sean Davis
1/5
Jordan Dangerfield
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus Washington. And it’s too bad that it’s the type of stats we can’t count on that Fitzpatrick keeps making and padding his box score with. if it was more based on tackles, we would have something to work with and add upside to his marks.

AFC south

Texans Safeties

Justin Reid
4.5/5
Eric Murray
3/5
Lonnie Johnson (CB/S) (?)
2/5
Michael Thomas (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Colts. And as we have mentioned in our notes and articles, if you get your hands on Reid, hold onto him for the rest of the season. As for Murry, he hasn’t been on par enough to mark him any higher here in a strong contest on paper. It’s anyone guess if this is his ceiling that’s marked or his floor.

Colts Safeties

Khari Willis (?)
3.5/5
Julian Blackmon
2.5/5
Tavon Wilson
1/5
George Odum
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Titans and if for some reason Willis is out, Wilson would likely be the next man up. Just give Wilson three stars if that is the case.

 Jaquars Safeties

Jarrod Wilson (?)
3/5
Andrew Wingard
2.5/5
Brandon Watson
2/5
Josh Jones (IR)
0/5
Daniel Thomas (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: So Wingard, a starting free safety at one point, was moved into the starting SS role with their injuries. And he did “ok” in the box score and on film. But we still wonder if “ok” is going to be enough heading into week 13 with Watson sitting there. So we did go with what is on paper vis our formula, but we also suggest just playing it safe and avoid him.

Titans Safeties

Kenny Vaccaro
2.5/5
Kevin Byard
2.5/5
Amani Hooker
2/5
Joshua Kalu
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: Overall this is a “catch 22” this week versus the Browns. It’s so right there in the middle, it is hard to say if this is Byard’s and Vaccaro’s floor or ceiling. We think it’s Byard’s ceiling considering the Browns offensive philosophy. And tips the other way for Vaccaro as his floor in the same process. It is a true fine IDP hair to split, after the Brown’s strong swing to running the ball even more lately. Which has adjusted our data in a weird way.

AFC East

 Bills Safeties

Jordan Poyer
5/5
Micah Hyde
3.5/5
Dean Marlowe
1/5
Jaquan Johnson
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the 49ers.

Dolphins Safeties

Eric Rowe
3/5
Bobby McCain
2.5/5
Brandon Jones
2/5
Reshad Jones (Q)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Bengals. And if anyone has any upside we could have added, it is Rowe. But we are not confident enough considering his entire body of work this week to go there.

 Patriots Safeties

Adrian Phillips
3.5/5
Devin McCourty
2.5/5
Kyle Dugger (?)
2.5/5
Terrence Brooks
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Chargers. And unfortunately for us, after playing an expanded role for a few weeks. Dugger fell off in terms of production versus playing time. And for that reason, we’ll pump the breaks as the Patriot’s main core of players have slightly changed and everyone is healthy. But don’t be surprised if he overachieves.

Jets Safeties

Marcus Maye
2.5/5
Ashtyn Davis
2.5/5
Matthias Farley
1/5
Bradley McDougald (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: On paper versus the Raiders, these marks are “barely” where they are. And we are sticking to that result when inconsistency is just so obvious between the two main guys.

AFC west

 Broncos Safeties

Justin Simmons
2.5/5
Kareem Jackson
2/5
Trey Marshall
1/5
P.J. Locke
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: First off, the entire formula was off considering the contest scenario with the Saints last contest. With no QB playing for Denver, and the Saints did what they wanted and how they wanted so freely, it was a bust. And it is a hazard of the unknown that just can’t be forecasted.

So assuming that Denver can at least put up a fight this week, as marked versus the Chiefs. And adding why they are marked as they are. We all know that Simmons is a great and normally matchup-proof type player. But when the Chiefs have consistently been in the bottom five in allowing production to the safeties, we have to take note of it. And for that example of the on-paper results of the formula, Simmons had four combined tackles the last time they played this season. And Jackson got two.

We hate sitting studs, but sometimes we just have to be smart about it if we can. And with the fantasy playoffs at hand, the writing is on the wall in terms of being safe.

Chiefs Safeties

Daniel Sorensen
3.5/5
Tyrann Mathieu
3/5
Juan Thornhill
2/5
Tedric Thompson
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Broncos.

.

Chargers Safeties

Nasir Adderley
3.5/5
Rayshawn Jenkins
3.5/5
Jahleel Addae
2/5
Alohi Gilman
1/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked on paper versus the Patriots.

Raiders Safeties

Johnathan Abram (?)
2.5/5
Erik Harris (?)
2/5
Jeff Heath
2/5
Dallin Leavitt
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above -Advice/Note: As marked versus the jets. And adding, with harris banged up it looks like Heath just played over him at the FS spot. But we don’t have a clear report on that situation from week 12. And heath had been seeing more time on the field prior to this contest. So, it’s something we’ll keep an eye on this week.

But as far as this week, considering the on-paper results, we shouldn’t worry about it this contest. It’s just too weak to worry about. And Abram’s upside got him to barely where he is.
