Welcome to the Fantasy Football Linebacker WK8 AFC Rankings IDP Start/Sit Charts presented by GridironRatings.com Where the only original and proven IDP start/sit chart “cheat sheets” via The IDP Tipster can be found. And yes, there are a few imitators, but there is only one true original five-step formula IDP tactical tool. A formula with a well-tested history for over a decade and a proven high-hit rate in IDP play well before sharing it with the public four years ago. And all of that history and relevancy is only available here for G.R. fantasy football family members.

Individual Defensive Players

Fantasy Football Linebacker WK8 Start/Sit

Needing to split those IDP hairs between two or more players with the same color code? Besides our great Player Ratings located in the main menu, our Oddsmakers IDP tactical tools were originally intended to do just that. And they are located on our The IDP Tipster member page or perhaps even on our main article page.

Disclaimer: We do not suggest “reaching” for higher designated players over available known studs!

NOTICE – Chart Key Marking Fine-Tuning Update

This was not applied to all the charts yet but will be by WK6. We are using a new STAR method this year that needed a better user-friendly feel.

Week 8 / AFC Inside Linebackers

AFC NORTH

 Ravens Inside Linebackers

Patrick Queen
4/5
L.J. Fort
2.5/5
Malik Harrison
1/5
Chris Board
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Stable and as marked versus the Steelers. Just keep in mind we can not exactly endorse Fort full tilt. He does produce when it’s right on paper, but in the prior three weeks, he played h averaged about 43% of the snaps. And for that reason, the only way he is marked “just” solid is because it’s a really solid matchup. If not, he would have been marked barely at best.

Bengals Inside Linebackers

Josh Bynes
2.5/5
Germaine Pratt
2.5/5
Logan Wilson
2.5/5
Akeen Davis-Gaithers
2/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Titans as a timeshare keeps going with no full-time LB among them. Pratt and Bynes received the bigger portion of snaps in week 7, which was exactly 73% apiece.

 Browns Inside Linebackers

B.J. Goodson
3/5
Malcolm Smith
1.5/5
Mack Wilson
1.5/5
Sione Takitaki
1/5
Jacob Phillips (Q)
1/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Other than Goodson, same thing as their opponent this week, it’s a timeshare still. So as marked versus the Raiders who aren’t all that ILB friendly. To note, Wilson passed Takitaki in playing time last week. But how relevant that is can be debated. Goodson went with 100% of the snaps last contest, Smith 69%, and Wilson with 41%.

Steelers Inside Linebackers

Vince Williams
3/5
Robert Spillane
2.5/5
Ulysses Gilbert
0.5/5
Devin Bush (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Simple enough, we are rolling with the on-paper results versus the Ravens. But we are giving the edge to Williams based on what we mentioned in the weekly waiver wire article and last week’s results in production.

AFC south

Texans Inside Linebackers

Zach Cunningham
0/5
Tyrell Adams
0/5
Dylan Cole
0/5
Benardrick McKinney (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Bye Week.

Colts Inside Linebackers

Darius Leonard (?)
3.5/5
Bobby Okereke
3/5
Anthony Walker
2/5
E.J. Speed
1/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: We are right where we were before their bye week last week. If  Leonard is out, Walker is in play with a bump in marks. Let’s not forget as we had mentioned on Okereke in our waiver wire article. It was him, not Walker, that had taken over the starting MLB spot before Leonard was hurt. So if all three are healthy we have to assume Walker returns to a part-time role.

 Jaquars Inside Linebackers

Myles Jack (?)
0/5
Joe Schobert
0/5
Dakota Allen (?)
0/5
Quincy Williams
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Bye Week.

But feel we should recap what happened with Allen last week with Jack out. As we mentioned in the notes, it was Allen who started in place of Jack. But it didn’t take long for Allen to re-hurt that foot he was dealing with and then Williams finished the contest. We had you on the right track, but those fantasy football gods pulled a fast one on us.

Titans Inside Linebackers

Jayon Brown
4/5
Rashaan Evans
3/5
Will Compton
1/5
David Long
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Bengals. And a note, that as we mentioned in the waiver wire article, Evans could still be in play in some leagues as a pickup and play.

AFC East

 Bills Inside Linebackers

Tremaine Edmunds
3.5/5
Matt Milano (?)
3.5/5
A.J. Klein
2.5/5
Tyrel Dodson (?)
1/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: It was a catch 22 last week with Milano. He indeed did start and play, but his first contest back they only gave him 33% of the snaps in a divisional contest versus the Jets. He looks like he is on track to play again versus the Patriots, and on paper, it’s a real solid matchup. But there is some risk he doesn’t play every snap again. So if we have other good options with good players, we may want to think about them. So yes, it’s another catch 22 this week for owners to decide on.

Dolphins Inside Linebackers

Jerome Baker
2.5/5
Elandon Roberts
2/5
Kamu Grugier-Hill
2/5
Calvin Munson
1/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Which baker shows up in this really “barely” solid matchup will depend if he can outplay his mark. We are giving it the benefit of the doubt. And letting the fact he is the only ILB seeing an every-down role prior to their bye week that bumped him just enough to “just” solid. This one could really go either way depending on Baker and the game flow.

 Patriots Inside Linebackers

Ja’Whaun Bentley
2.5/5
Cassh Maluia
1/5
Anfernee Jennings
1/5
Josh Uche (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Bills. We’ve suggested Bentley as a real solid bye week play the last two contests. And he has not let us down with two of his best contests on the year. This week, he falls right back where he was before we suggested him at “just” solid. And with the Bills in the bottom 8 allowing production to the ILBs, it’s barely a “just” solid.

Jets Inside Linebackers

Avery Williamson
3/5
Neville Hewitt
3/5
Patrich Onwuarsor (IR)
0/5
Blake Cashman (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: Hewitt made our bye week waiver wire pick up based on the percentage he was owned in the Tipster leagues. This contest isn’t all that on paper, but there is one major boost each of these ILBs get. And that is the fact that they produce well all the time with a below-par D-line in front of them. And as we all know in IDP, production by default counts and especially on weeks with four teams one bye.

AFC west

 Broncos Inside Linebackers

Alexander Johnson
3/5
Josey Jewell
2/5
Joe Jones
1/5
Nigel Bradham
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Chargers, and got to add we can’t bump up Jewell this week at all. He just isn’t getting it done unless it’s 100% there on paper.

Chiefs Inside Linebackers

Anthoney Hitchens
2.5/5
Damien Wilson
2.5/5
Willie Gay
1.5/5
Ben Niemann
1/5
Dorian O’Daniel
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: We are simply tired of quoting the terrible snap counts here for all the players. If you are needing to go here we have marked them way lower than the matchup on paper. And we wish you luck on how out-performs the other in this really strong contest.

Chargers Inside Linebackers

Kyzir White
4/5
Kenneth Murry
4/5
Denzel Perryman
2/5
Drue Tranquill (IR)
0/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Broncos. And adding that even with White not seeing as many snaps as Murry, he is still performing on average just as good as the rookie.

Raiders Inside Linebackers

Cory Littleton
3/5
Nick Kwiatkoski
3/5
Nicholas Morrow
2/5
Raekwon McMillan
0.5/5

See New Chart Key Above  -Advice/Note: As marked versus the Browns. And if the raiders are done easing in Kwiatkosi, we’ll know this week after he got just 755 of the snaps in week 7. It just might be a case that Morrow earned some brownie points and they see ways of keeping him on the field more. It’s hard to tell just yet. If you ask this writer, one has to think that Kwiatkosi is on the verge of being really relevant over the next few weeks.
