Category: General · Status: Active

What it measures

Trade Value assigns a numerical worth to every player based on current production, age, positional scarcity, and league format settings. It enables apples-to-apples trade comparisons by normalizing player value across different league configurations.

Inputs

  • Gridiron Overall Rating: Current-season composite rating as base value.
  • Age and positional aging curves: Long-term value adjustment for dynasty formats.
  • League format settings: Superflex, TE Premium, PPR weight, IDP scoring presets.
  • Roster configuration: Starting slots and bench depth affecting positional scarcity.

Scale

  • 9000+: Elite asset - top-5 overall dynasty value.
  • 6000 – 8999: High-value starter - core roster piece.
  • 3000 – 5999: Mid-range asset - solid contributor or trade chip.
  • Below 3000: Low value - depth piece or roster cut candidate.

How to use it

  • Enter players on each side of a proposed trade in the Trade Calculator to compare total values.
  • Multi-asset trade penalties are applied to the side with more players, reflecting consolidation value.
  • Adjust league settings to get trade values tailored to your specific format.

Limitations

  • Trade values are model-generated estimates - actual trade markets vary by league context.
  • Does not account for league-specific factors like rival team needs or trade history.
  • Superflex and TE premium multipliers are calibrated for typical settings and may not match extreme formats.
