In conclusion the reason I wrote this IDP dime drop on Whitehead is because in 3 of my 4 recent redraft leagues. And that’s notable. And after trying to get him on owners radars last season I took it for granted he stay there, especially with the new coaches history’s and scheme. But admitting here that the treat of the rookie Mike Edwards and previous starter Justin Evans also kept me at bay.
It’s never too late right? specially considering that all the reports is the love for Whitehead and his growth. And the fact that his firm grip on the job is his to lose, not earn anymore. In the end was I right last season, is Whitehead good enough? Is he better than the rookie at this stage if his career? Can Justin Evans ever really live up to his prior hype? Who knows! But Whitehead shouldn’t be on the wire if your needing a bit more of a sleeper pickup and you’ve missed out on some other “upsides”. At the least, have that trigger finger ready, as I like to say.
And as the title says “This Teams Safey(s)”, it really does boil down to that. So Stewart, Edwards, and Evans are still in this mix, but it’s likely Whitehead and Stewart on your wire. So as I am with Whitehead, watch the happens and as I am with Whitehead, plan from there.
