All original and proven IDP Fantasy Football Easy Start/Sit Charts are based on a five step formula method. This formula is used on an accumulate amount of information data, stats, trends and info. And of course the knowledge of reading these in the formula used. These formulas were under development for approximately seven seasons before being shared with the general public. And in that process the Charts can claim in the general area, on average, of at least a 80% hit rate. Although in years past this has been tested and proven we have to keep in mind that in fantasy football it is always “any given Sunday”.
The IDP Fantasy Football Easy Start/Sit Charts Relevance
Users of these charts should always keep certain things in mind when using these charts.
- The fifth element of the five step formula used is the mind behind it’s innovation. So there is a human aspect to reading these results and the delivery.
- All input into these charts are raw at the beginning of the seasons until the core information catches up with that seasons data, stat, and trends. The first three weeks on average are basically a warm up period. As some end of the year information from the prior season is included. This is until on average around week four of each season we have established the current season’s own material. This in turn is the strength of the charts. And just in time for the important bye-weeks.
- Never sit a stud! As a disclaimer and delivery we need to always keep in mind that sitting a known” stud” over a player that is not isn’t advisable. The charts are meant to split the IDP hairs among the level of players talent. And it is never advisable to “reach” for a player in play if those “IDP hairs” are minimal.
- These Charts are based on match ups versus talent of said players when it is boiled down to it. And trusting the charts do take a commitment. That is not included in our delevery and soley on the users.
Outside Linebackers are listed here?
The outside linebackers in the 3-4 defensive scheme are listed here as edge rushers. The are basically stand-up defensive ends in the 4-3 scheme, comparably. The outside linebackers in the 4-3 are listed in the inside linebacker charts. Splitting those IDP Fantasy Football hairs!

Easy Start/Sit Charts
Bills: Versus the Titans. Huge warning here. Via the formula on paper this is a very strong match-up. The Titans are allowing some of the best points allowed to the DLs across the board on average. The only problem is the lack of the Bills DLs getting the job done so far. That is why they are only and barely solid. And part of the reason we can mark Hughes as a deep bye week guy. His potential and hype hasn’t kept him on owners rosters. So as a bye week play and the only one with “upside”, we’ll mark him as such.
Dolphins: BYE WEEK
Patriots: Versus the Redskins. As marked and noting we finally got another potential DL play. Collins has a role on the field that warrants a DL designation as an Edge rusher. That is why he is here. But Simon has finally started separating himself from the remaining group. Not only in snap counts but production. In this case this week you could do worse.
Jets: Versus the Eagles. First we will note that it looks like the hyped up rookie Q. Williams will get back on the field this week. But we can’t trust just how much or how effective he’ll be. And as for L. Williams this is the first match-up all season worth moving him up into a solid spot. And according to the formula on paper he should be solid enough for a green bye week play. The warning is the fact he has not been able to out perform anything this year on paper. So “should” is still risky.
Broncos: Versus the Chargers. As Marked. And noting that we don’t exactly know for sure how they replace Chubb. It’ll likely be a rotation and we need to see just who gets the call.
Chiefs: Versus the Colts. Just want to note that the only on paper “upside” we got with Okafor questionable was Jones. And he just made it. Keep in mind that the Colts OLs are good. So another “solid” might need to be looked at hard before going with Jones.
Chargers: Versus the Broncos. As Marked and too bad the rotation with the weak keeps them out of the solid. On paper they got “upside”, but just can’t see taking the risk putting them there. Ingram is so questionable via reports.
Raiders: Versus the Bear. As marked and Ferrell looking pretty questionable.
North Notes: North is pretty cut and dry across the board.
Ravens: Versus the Steelers. As marked. No “upside”. And wanting to share something interesting. He wasn’t listed because he only received a very small portion of the snap counts in week four. But did perform well in those few snaps with four tackles.
“Meet #42 Patrick Ricard, the top three-way player in the NFL. Off snaps: 68 Def snaps: 78 ST snaps: 29 He’ll see a lot of time at DT Sunday if Brandon Williams can’t go.”
Can’t rely on this being a trend even if he would play again this weekend at DT. But keeping an eye on it could be interesting.
Bengals: Versus the Cardinals. As marked.
Browns: Versus the 49ers. As marked.
Steelers: Versus the Ravens. Watt always hold his “upside”. Heyward and Tuitt do as well this contest. Anyone of them could out-perform this solid mark this week.
Texans: Versus The Falcons. As marked. Noting this unit has joined Mercilus and got on a little bit of a role. And the Palcons are mid-range solid in allowing points to the Reader position. And considering he isn’t on many rosters he gets the deep bye week green this match-up.
Colts: Versus the Chiefs. Just wanting to note, there isn’t any real “upside” on this “barely solid” match-up for Autry and Sheard.
Jaguars: Versus the Panthers. The warning is that the three solid guys under performed last contest in a bit of a big way. With the rookie Allen now getting a real nice chunk of the snap counts it may be effecting the game-flow. And in this contest “on-paper” this is not as solid as the talent is.
Titans: Versus the Bills. As marked and noting that Landry on paper isn’t as solid as Casey’s match-up on paper via the formula.
